URC has just announced a new wireless sensor relay for use with their Total Control lineup, along with a half dozen sensors. Dubbed the MRX-4SEN, the compact device takes input from up to four connected sensors and relays this over 2.4GHz WiFi to an MRX-10 or -20 advanced network controller. Read more...

Okay, so we first heard about the Total Control TKP-7000 In-Wall Touchscreen a year ago at CEDIA 2011... but that doesn’t make it any less impressive now! With a 7” 1024x600 high-resolution screen, the TKP-7000 looks stunning no matter what wall it’s on. And with a wired Ethernet connection supporting PoE, it’s easy to install, too! Read more...

At CEDIA 2012, URC revealed a brand new gyroscopic-based addition to their network-enabled Total Control lineup. The minimalist TRG-100 and advanced TRG-200 handheld remote controls feature sleek, ergonomic designs, and mesh with the MRX-20 Advanced Network System Controller – offering a point-and-click-style motion-based control over a snazzy graphical on-screen interface that URC have dubbed “uMotion”. In the “aww, isn’t that cute!” department, URC has uncovered the tiny MRX-4IR Base Station for use with Total Control remotes. The MRX-4IR has, predictably, 4 infrared emitter ports, plus a wired ethernet port for communication with other Total Control network devices. Read more...

Those of you who remember my original CEDIA 2011 video release back in September, will recall that I mentioned there would be a grand total of 11 videos this year... and of course today’s announcement make number 12! Initial counting issues aside, this is indeed the final episode in this year’s series – and it’s a doozey!

URC has announced two additions to their Total Control lineup of remote controls, including the TRC-1280 hybrid touchscreen/hard buttoned remote, plus the TKP-2000 in-wall touchscreen.

Also introduced is off-site programming, which will allow dealers to program, update or service Total Control systems from nearly anywhere. Read more...

URC has officially announced three new remotes in their Complete Control linup. First is the MX-1200 hybrid hard button & touchscreen remote, second is the MX-780 hard button and OLED screen combination, and third is the MXW-920 water resistant model. Read more...
