To configure the delay between macro steps: Press [COMMANDER OFF], [CHANNEL+] and [CHANNEL-] at the same time. "SC1", "SC2", "SC3" and all component names will flash. Press the System Control or Component Select button you want to configure. Then, press one of the number buttons from 1 through 4. 1=127ms (default), 2=408ms, 3=708ms, 4=974ms.
To program a favorite channel macro: While holding [COMMANDER OFF], press [MUTING]. Then, while holding [CHANNEL+], press the Component Select button. Now, while pressing one of the available Macro buttons (PIP INPUT, PIP MOVE, PIP CH+, PIP STILL, PIP SWAP and PIP CH- for "TV", or RW, PLAY, FF, REC, STOP and PAUSE for "CBL" or RW, PLAY, FF, STOP for "SAT"), press up to four buttons on the keypad in order. Now release the Macro button. You cannot record a macro over a button that already has a learned signal.
To clear all favorite channel macros for a Component: While holding [COMMANDER OFF], press [MUTING]. Then, while holding [CHANNEL+], press the Component Select button. Now hold [RESET] and the macro button you wish to clear.
Adding the Power On command to Component Select buttons for Sony devices: Press [COMMANDER OFF], [VOLUME+] and the desired Component Select button at the same time. When the Power On command is programmed you will hear a beep and "POWER ON" appears in the display. To clear this function repeat the procedure and the display will only read "POWER". This feature will not operate if a button has a learned signal or macro already assigned, and is only available to components configured to control Sony devices.
Turning off all Sony components with the COMMANDER OFF button: Press [COMMANDER OFF], [CHANNEL-] and [VOLUME+] at the same time. When the Power Off function is set, the display reads "POWER OFF". To clear the function repeat this procedure and the display will only read "POWER". To operate, the [COMMANDER OFF] button must be held down for three seconds.
To configure the audio passthrough: By default the RM-AV2100 controls the TV’s volume for the TV, VCR 1/2/3, Cable/Sat and DVD buttons, and the receiver’s for Amp, CD, MD/DAT, Tape, Tuner and DSP. To change this setting, press and hold [COMMANDER OFF] and [VOLUME+] and [VOLUME-] to toggle between controlling the amplifier’s volume under all components or the TV/Amp combination.
To customize "Simple" display mode: Press [COMMANDER OFF], [CHANNEL+] and the Component Select button you want to modify at the same time. Then, press the LCD key you want to display. Each time a key is pressed it is alternately selected and deselected. A selected key does not flash. Note that you cannot hide a button that contains a learned function.
To reset the "Simple" display mode: Press [COMMANDER OFF], [CHANNEL+] and the Component Select button you want to modify at the same time. Then, while holding [CHANGE] press the Component Select button again.
To copy the settings of a Component Select button to another: While holding [COMMANDER OFF] press the Component Select buttons you want to copy to. Then, while holding that Component Select button, press the Component Select button you want to copy the configuration from.
To transfer all data between two remotes: Place the RM-AV2100 head-to-head with another remote displaying the [T] logo. Press [COMMANDER OFF], [CHANNEL-] and [VOLUME-] at the same time. Press the [UP] key to transmit data. Then, press [1], followed by [ENTER] to start data transfer. As data is transferred, the corresponding component names turn off one by one. If "NG" flashes the transfer has failed and you may try again by pressing [ENTER].
To receive all data from another remote: Place the RM-AV2100 head-to-head with another remote displaying the [T] logo. press [COMMANDER OFF], [CHANNEL-] and [VOLUME-] at the same time. Press the [DOWN] key to receive data. Then, press [1] followed by [ENTER] to start receiving data. As data is transferred, the corresponding component names display one by one. If "NG" flashes the transfer has failed and you may try again by pressing [ENTER].
To transfer a Component Select button between two remotes: Place the RM-AV2100 head-to-head with another remote displaying the [T] logo. Press [COMMANDER OFF], [CHANNEL-] and [VOLUME-] at the same time. Press the [UP] key to transmit data. Then press [2], followed by the Component Select button you wish to transfer. Press [ENTER] to start data transfer. If "NG" flashes the transfer has failed and you may try again by pressing [ENTER].
To receive data for a Component from another remote: Place the RM-AV2100 head-to-head with another remote displaying the [T] logo. press [COMMANDER OFF], [CHANNEL-] and [VOLUME-] at the same time. Press the [DOWN] key to receive data. Then press [2], followed by the Component Select button you want to receive on. Press [ENTER] to start receiving data. If "NG" flashes the transfer has failed and you may try again by pressing [ENTER].
To adjust the backlight brightness level: While holding [COMMANDER OFF] press [LIGHT]. The arrow [UP] and [DOWN] keys will flash. To configure the remote for the brightest level, press [UP]. For dim, press [DOWN].
To adjust the backlight auto-off time: While holding [COMMANDER OFF] press [LIGHT]. The number which shows the current power-off time will display, and all other numbers will flash. Press one of the numbers from 1-9 to select the power off time. 1=10 seconds, 9=90 seconds.
To change the LCD auto power off time: Press [COMMANDER OFF], [CHANNEL+] and [VOLUME-] at the same time. The number which shows the current power-off time will display, and other numbers will flash. Press one of the numbers from 0-9 to select the power off time. 1=10 minutes, 9=90 minutes, 0=don’t power off.
To enable or disable the beep tone: While holding [COMMANDER OFF] press [MUTING]. To enable the beep tone press [MUTING] and [VOLUME+]. "ON" will display. To disable the beep tone press [MUTING] and [VOLUME-]. "OFF" will display.
To lock the remote: While holding the [CHANGE] key, press [COMMANDER OFF]. "OFF" is displayed.
To unlock the remote: While holding the "OFF" key, press [COMMANDER OFF]. "OFF" disappears from display.
To prevent changes to the remote: While holding [COMMANDER OFF], press [MUTING]. All component names and "POWER OFF" will flash. Press the [POWER OFF] key. All component names stop flashing, while "POWER ON" continues to flashes.
To remove the change lock: While holding [COMMANDER OFF], press [MUTING]. All component names will display, but only "POWER ON" will flash. Press the [POWER ON] key. All component names will begin flashing and "POWER OFF" will display.
