Hi,
Is there anyone that has a Pronto or ProntoNEO code for the On/Off button of a Sanyo PLV-30 projector?
It's the only button that can't be learned, unfortunately for me it is one of the most important buttons...
I already tried the Sanyo PLV-60 codes posted on this forum, but these don't seem to work (as could be expected ofcourse).
So if anyone can give me a clue, it would be greatly appreciated.
By the way, does anyone know if it is possible to find the code myself by using my IRDA port and a program like WINLIRC, and learn the Sanyo button like that? I suppose I need some kind of conversion from the WINLIRC learned code to the Pronto codes stored in the .CCF/.NCF file?
Thanks!

Cap....I don't know if your still out there. I own the Sanyo XW-15 and also could not get the ON/OFF power button to work. One of our fellow RC members helped me with other buttons with great sucess, but we couldn't get this one to work....I'm right there with ya!!

Weird, seems like Sanyo is using a strange IR code of some sort. Has either of you tried to contact Sanyo on this? Also, have either of you tried a Radio Shack or UEI remote to see if it'll work the on/off?

dre, I am sorry to hear that you experience the same problem!
Steve,
Actually I tried to learn the on/off button on a friend's Crisp Solutions UCommand 515, and it worked like a charm. However, neither using the original Sanyo remote nor the Ucommand did enable the PronteNEO to learn the on/off code.
I bet it must be some incompatibility with the Philips IR unit, or the learning software it uses...
Anyway, ofcourse I would like to contact Sanyo about it, but I don't know how. They don't have a learning-remote-support e-mail address on their corporate website, I guess ;)
Still, any help would be greatly appreciated!

The only way I can think of to fix your problem, is learn it to a Pronto then, since it seems to be a Neo issue. Then convert the Pronto HEX to Neo. I know that I could learn some codes to my MX-1000 that wouldn't learn on the Neo, they seemed to be Burst IR codes.

Throw me on the Sanyo "ON/OFF no learn" pile. I own the Sanyo PLC-XP45 LCD projector and have been unable to learn the ON/OFF button either. No one -- ANYWHERE -- has been able to help me. Tried Sanyo tech support, but they shipped me over to Philips tech support. No dice either way. I would wager that the IR code is the same for ALL Sanyo remotes and one code would work for ALL of us. Please help.

-steve Well, if there is any Pronto owner that would be so kind to lear the Sanyo on/off code on his Pronto and put this hexcode on Remotecentral, that would be very nice. Pronto owners, please? :)

You might want to ask this in the Pronto forum, also, there might be a difference with in each model

I have successfully learned the ON/OFF code from my Eiki LC-VM1 which should essentially be the same model as your PLV-30. I can get the code from my Pronto and post it here so that you can check if it works.

affe,
I would be delighted if you did! Please post the code here once you have it!

affe,
It seems like you have disappeared... :( Yes, I had to disappear for a while, sorry for the delay. This is my LC-VM1 power on/off code. Hope it works with your Sanyo, too. Eiki LC-VM1 power on/off: 0000 006d 0044 0000 0155 00ab 0015 0015 0016 0015 0016 0015 0015 0015 0016 0040 0015 0040 0016 0015 0015 0015 0016 0040 0015 0040 0016 003f 0016 0040 0015 0015 0016 0015 0016 003f 0016 0040 0015 0015 0016 0015 0016 0015 0015 0015 0016 0015 0016 0015 0015 0015 0016 0015 0016 003f 0016 0040 0015 0040 0016 003f 0016 0040 0015 0040 0016 003f 0016 0040 0015 0d9d 0156 00aa 0016 0015 0015 0015 0016 0015 0016 0015 0015 0040 0016 003f 0016 0015 0016 0015 0015 0015 0016 0040 0015 0040 0016 003f 0016 0015 0016 0015 0015 0040 0016 003f 0016 0040 0015 0040 0016 003f 0016 0040 0015 0040 0016 003f 0016 0040 0015 0040 0016 0015 0015 0015 0016 0015 0016 0015 0015 0015 0016 0015 0016 0015 0015 0015 0016 00ab Best regards, affe

affe, I love you! :)
Just kidding: seriously, I it works! The tricky bit was that I had to use Pronto2NEO Converter version 1.5.2. It did not work with version 1.5.0 while all other conversions I made have worked with 1.5.0...
I am wondering: did you have any problem learning the IR code on your Pronto? If not, appearently the Pronto has better learning software than the NEO...
Anyway, I am happy that I finally have a working code.
To sum it all up for the others:
Thanks to affe, Pat Spector and Charles Lee we now have a working ProntoNEO code for the Sanyo PLV-30 projector and its clones. Use Pat's Pronto2NEO Converter 1.5.2 to convert the Pronto code to a ProntoNEO code. Then use Charles's NEOHacker 0.7 to insert this code into the action of the appropriate button.
The original Pronto code is: 0000 006d 0044 0000 0155 00ab 0015 0015 0016 0015 0016 0015 0015 0015 0016 0040 0015 0040 0016 0015 0015 0015 0016 0040 0015 0040 0016 003f 0016 0040 0015 0015 0016 0015 0016 003f 0016 0040 0015 0015 0016 0015 0016 0015 0015 0015 0016 0015 0016 0015 0015 0015 0016 0015 0016 003f 0016 0040 0015 0040 0016 003f 0016 0040 0015 0040 0016 003f 0016 0040 0015 0d9d 0156 00aa 0016 0015 0015 0015 0016 0015 0016 0015 0015 0040 0016 003f 0016 0015 0016 0015 0015 0015 0016 0040 0015 0040 0016 003f 0016 0015 0016 0015 0015 0040 0016 003f 0016 0040 0015 0040 0016 003f 0016 0040 0015 0040 0016 003f 0016 0040 0015 0040 0016 0015 0015 0015 0016 0015 0016 0015 0015 0015 0016 0015 0016 0015 0015 0015 0016 00ab
The ProntoNEO resulting from it is: 0 f 6c 3 60 8 15 3f aa 3f 5f fc 42 8 0 40 4 40 44 4 40 4 0 0 0 40 44 44 44 4 bf a3 fc 42 8 0 40 4 0 44 4 40 44 44 44 44 4 0 0 0 0 df
