Pronto Team,

Seems like alot of what's been suggested has to do with setting it up for the first time to get it where it's managable. To add to what's already been said, it sure would be nice to be able to "shift select" or "control select" more than one code-set at a time to be brought into my library.

I'm glad that you guys are interested in making it easier to program, but please take note to the other issues raised that have to do with functionality.

"Today, the concept has evolved into an integrated control solution for conventional home theater, multimedia content and lighting. With a combination of infrared control* and WiFi® wireless control, Pronto provides true multi-room control."
---pronto.phillips web-site---

It's almost impossible to back this statement up if you don't incorporate Flags, conditionals, and, for many situations, IR Routing. These are instruments that have been availible in some other non-Crestron/AMX remotes for years. It's dissapointing to see these features missing from a brand new remote designed by us.

Agree tha flags and conditionals would be nice but IR routing is already supported on both extenders. Voltage sensing is also available on the RFX9600 which can be used to solve a lot of problems also.

You said I could so I dug further and found in the device properties where it shows up. That's one item I'm extreemly happy to be corrected on.

When new gallery updates come out, it would be nice to be able to add just the new entries and not the entire update. Currently the merge just combines both files and the replace is self-explanatory.

Okay, I'm stumped. How can I actually view the IR code for a specific function that was loaded from the database for a particular device?

I'd like to see as many codesets as possible named by model number. A large number of codesets in the database are not. URC's MX Editor software does a great job of this and when the model number you are looking for is not available there are a number of inclusive codesets available at the bottom of the list which operate many different model numbers. Pictured below is the IR Database Navigator from the MX Editor software.

Take note that even though the DVP-CX777ES, DVP-CX985V, and DVP-CX995V use the same IR codes each of the model numbers are included in the list. I like this type of thoroughness. More importantly, command modes 1-3 for each model number are also included! This I would very much like to see in PEP's factory database.

I don't believe you can.

At the end of the beta test it was reported that an update would be released at some point after the remote had become available for purchase which would include many of the more important bug fixes and suggestions made during the beta test. The initial update to the software is clearly not this update as seen below.

New in version 1.0.37

-For the Escient music server, definition of hard keys (volume, menu, ...) is allowed locally, to support multiple zone solutions.
-For high definition channels, channel wizard now supports "-" and ".".
-The "Restore Default Configuration" feature has been removed, since it became obsolete.
-Minor cosmetic changes have been made to default files.
-Text labels now hold 2K characters to allow for longer text.
-The field position in the status bar is adapted to display the information correctly when using a Windows theme with large fonts.
-The last entered value for the delay in the channel macro wizard will be remembered for a selected brand, type, model.
-A check box has been added to "enable" or "disable" WiFi on the Wireless Property page.
-The help text message on Factory Database page for codesets has been changed.

While this was certainly a very important update and one that was good to see made available so soon there were many items acknowledged during the beta test as things which would be fixed/implemented via the next big update. I'm personally looking forward to this update. Hopefully it's well on its way to becoming a reality.

I just wish they were a bit quicker with updates. Not going to purchase mine until I see all the Yamaha RX-V2700 codes listed. Come on Pronto Team - its been out for quite a while and widely in use

You cant view the codes from the Pronto Database only the ones you have learned. Yeah I tried to grab some codes for an RTI and had to use the 9600 to blast to the RTI to learn them.

I would like to be able to edit the 2 way RS232. I think if you came out with an upgraded software that only custom installers could get by going to class on it would cut down phone time with the novice that shouldnt be messing with it. Other than that I dont mind building my own data base. You never promised ever code known to man. And I think if alot of people know what its like to work with a 3rd party company to get any info about RS232 code or IR codes they would understand what might be taking so long. Ive been trying for 2 weeks to track down the DSC RS232codes and just get voice mail. So since you have one of the better and more flexible remotes for the price Ill spare bitching at you if it takes a little time to input thousands of codes and write pre-writen pages for 2-way communcations so I dont have to in the future.

You know there was a time when you had to dig a ditch just to take a crap.......HAHAHA.

There is no icon/graphic for CNN Headline News. Anyone made one themselves that match the look that is willing to share?

BTW, this is my first Pronto TSU9600, after I saw a friend with a couple of TSU7000s and I am LOVING it. Got all the IR working, now to get the 9400 hooked up with RF. Anyone tried the Lutron AuroRA? I wanted to get a couple of dimmer switches and see if it worked as planned.
Regards.

The AuroRa has no ir or RS232 control so it is not going to work. it is a preprogrammed system that works with its own control options only. You will need to use regular Radio RA products with the RS232 interface and the RFX9600 extender for 2 way operation. You may use a RA IR interface or the Spacer System IR dimmers if all you are looking for is one way control w/o feedback.

I thought you guys were getting closer but I still have no faith in it. I own both a Sony SAT HD100 and an SAT HD300. Your database shows these with STOP, PLAY, PAUSE, RECORD etc as if they are DVR machines...go fish. Who even entered this crap in?
