sWORDs,

I still think that the user should be able to switch off the error handling.

The error handling is helpful for finding problems, but even if the module runs well most of the time one still gets these messages from time to time (for instance during load of a BD). The messages do not have any real value in "normal" use.

Lee and HCFreak,

then it must be a 2500 player issue, so I will release a small updated version within a week with the possibility of disabling error messages. And if I receive enough donations I'll buy a 2500 for testing, so I can check if there is a better way to work arround the errors.

I need some testers for a version that still has the error message, but an extra variable for the timeout. After some extensive testing with a BD2500 it seems that the response is longer when loading a disc then the promised 5 seconds max of the documentation:

"The time from the completion of command transmission to the start of answer-back is MAX 5sec."

Anyone available for some testing? I need some results for 10, 9, 8, 7 and 6 seconds timeout. I still would like to try to find and fix the problem instead of ignoring it.

sWORD's

Hi could you put on a hidden page a list of the Blu ray model numbers that have been tested.

Cheers

Will do that in the next version.

BD 2500/3800/4010 (2500 has some timings issues increase timeout might work)
DVD 2930/3910/A1XVA (3910 has a firmware bug that swap's dialog and subtitle)
Receiver 3808/4306/4308/AVC-A1HDA/AVP-A1HDA

But the protocol is equal for all, so every model should work.

What will not work is the new Denon CARA (receiver with integrated bd), might make a seperate module for it, however I'm doubting if anyone will use one. (only 75 Watt on 4 ohm, scaler only for internal player, to expensive)

Also planned for next version:

Receiver RS232 (90% done, same extender unsupported)
TCP/IP for multiple remotes (40% done)
GUI for receiver (code 70% done, GUI 70% done)

Next version will not be here within a month and will not include iPod/Net/Multizone. I need two weeks for another project, then 2-3 weeks for new features. If there are any bugs small updates will be released in between. The BD/DVD functions are considered near final, only a complete new GUI (animated black brushed aluminium with blue "led" backlight, with a simple/advanced toggle) and using IR when a command isn't supported over RS232 (like eject with DVD players) is planned.

Woops, I totally forgot the 1.43 9400 version. I'm mixed up in another project this week. I'll try to get it done next week. And Rene don't forget to send me your email and pronto serialnumber.
