When you say code search, do you mean the 0-9-9-9 code and then hit CHAN UP until the TV shuts off? If so, I tried it but I don't know how many codes it has to go through.

Yes, when it reaches the end the red light goes out. Meaning no code. Time for a universal.

That's the thing, the red light never went out and I hit the CHAN UP like 100 times. Should I try it more than that?

I bought yesterday an Insignia IS-TV 040921 and I have a Hughes box from Direct tV. No luck with any of the codes. Called Insignia and they told me to go back to the store and ask for the remote to be programmed w/the codes (?) No idea that they could do that. Went back to their site and when I saw the options for the remote codes, the one for my tv is unknown!!!...
Have someone been able to get the code for this specific model ???
Please don't tell me I am the only one :(
Any info will be greatly appreciated
Please post response... Thanks ::)

Insignia DVD player not working with Direct TV remote.
I have an Insignia 20" TV-DVD combo and I am a first time DirectTV customer. Using code search, I got the TV power and volume to work from the DTV remote (10463 did not work, nor did the other brand searches, but the code search worked quickly). What I can't get to work is the DVD player or Input button from DTV remote. I started a code search, setting DTV remote to AV1, pressing 991 then 3 (instructions on DTV receiver), then hitting the main power on the remote and channeling up, power then channel up over and over. But I realized that the DVD player doesn't have a power switch since it is a TV combo. Is there another command I can try to see if I have found the proper code, like play or input, as I channel up?
Thanks for the great thread, I never thought I would find help like this so fast.

Hello fellow fustrated Insignia TV buyers.
I just brought home a new Insignia 30" HDTV (IS-TVHD30), and like most was unable to find a code for my Direct TV remote. However, I was able to find one that does power on/off the TV and allows you to adjust the volume.
Code 10150 under the Memorex brand seems to do the trick. The only wacky thing (if your Direct TV remote is like mine) is with the slide switch acroos the top of the remote. Inorder to power the TV on/off you'll have to slide the switch to the TV position and use the PWR button just below the slide switch, NOT the 'tv power' ON button. Once the TV is on slide the switch back to the Direct TV cyclone logo and you'll also have volume control of the Insignia TV.
Kind of goofy, but I hope this helps.

Code 10150 maybe listed under memorex, along with many other codes. But code 10150 is concidered to be a Mitsubishi TV code, so if you don't have UEI made remote, try the codes listed under Mitsubishi in your manual.

Just ran into this today. NXT is listed as a manufacturer; they are English and specialize in planar speakers. The HTIB I had to deal with had this kind of speakers, so maybe it is by them, but there are no codes for NXT! Not in four of the site's Files sections, anyway.
A good answer is easier with a clear question giving the make and model of everything.

The new URC remotes, R5G & R7G list a code for insignia Tv's, TV 350, the IR signals from that code doesn't match any brands listed in this thread.

The Sansui code worked on my Insiginia 27". I'd been trying to find this code for weeks. Finally! If you're with Charter Cable, code 096 should work with their universal remote. Thanks, CHEVYCAM.

I just got a 20 inch (IS-TV049020) Insignia Television. I use a DRC450 Motorola Universal remote. Every manual I have and every PDF I have downloaded online has no listing for Insignia. No hint in this thread has yeilded positive results. Does anyone have any other suggestions for me?
