Hi Daniel

I'm into it your PCF and have a question already (sorry!).

Is there a simple way to place a new TV logo behind the "glass" of your new TV button - I can only seem to get it on top or underneath.

Thanks heaps
Adam

No, unfortunantly that's part of the actual bitmap (has to be done in the creation stage). I could create a blank without that if you like.

You don't happen to have a .psd file you'd be willing to make available do you? :-P

I'd also like to do what Kind Ad Rock is asking for with regards to the TV logo.

Hi Daniel

A PSD of it with the two layers would be brilliant but I know you've been reluctant in the past on making these available. Failing that, a png with the glass removed would be interesting to see.

cheers
Adam

At this particular momemt I have two PNGs (background/rear lense + front lense) that could be reassembled in any graphics software. I can look into making a PSD of it (remember, all of this stuff is vector).

Hi Daniel

Either would be brilliant - a psd would be ideal for us Photoshop users (or elements) but the two PNGs would be fantastic as well - I assume the lens file has a certain level of transparency?

Many thanks
Adam

Check the FAQ on this site for the NG series remotes. There's a simple change you need to make to open the file in Wizzit.

...However this layout will not yet work correct in Wizz.it 9 as that software does not currently support custom system area font colors. So both the status bar at the top and the buttons at the bottom will use black text - not too legible.

Hi Daniel

In regard to the TV lbuttons - are you adding a drop shadow behind the logo when you asemble each one? Are you still cool to make available the PSD or the two separate PNG files?

Thanks Adam

Yes, there's a soft shadow, 33% opacity with moderate feathering. Also light colored or thin icons may have a white outline added first. If your email was in your profile i'd have sent the PSD to you, otherwise I'll likely be posting a slight update on Monday or Tuesday (nothing big, just a few tweaks to macros plus both PNG and PSD TV icon blanks).

There's a slightly updated file now available. It includes TV icon blanks in PSD format, as well as a 2-file PNG version (in the gallery).

Daniel - Your TSU3000 PCF had buttons that were used for selecting the genre of channels to surf. For example, the TSU3000 PCF's "GUI Full" page had buttons for "Nets", "Learn", "Fun", and "Inform". These buttons aren't in TSU7000 PCF. I colorized the TSU3000 versions of the bitmaps using Photoshop for use in my TSU7000, but they're not as sharp as the original versions (it's always more challenging modifying bitmap pixels rather than vector graphics). Do you happen to have colored versions of these graphics, or maybe the original vector versions?

Thanks,

randman
