There are 3 different postings with different vendors.
Are they all selling the same DVD's? Is there any significant diffrence in quality? There is a difference in the prices from 45.99 plus shipping, to $10 per disc and free shipping.

I believe they all sell the same one, it's called the "Five Star" edition. Since it's a bootleg, I'd just go with the cheapest one. :-)

I went with the vendor that "Johnla" went through, only because they sell theres factory wrapped in keepsake cases. the other two do not. It's $10 more but I think it's worth it. I haven't heard from them yet, but it has been deducted from my account. They also do their charging through CCNow, so I would assume they are legit, and that if something happened to where you didn't recieve it CCNow would help you out.

umm... bootlegs aren't legit, no matter who you buy them from, but I see where you're going with this...
:-)

Mine didn't come with the keepcase, but AOL has been kind enough to have sent me a few dozen over the past few years, I just clean that big "1000 free hours" sticker, and I'm set, and $10/disk richer..

Just for all th legal eyes out there...nothing on the site says they are bootlegs...so there! As far as I know they aren't. As far as I know they are legitimate movies made for that country. Same goes with software. I had a buddy staioned over in the phillipines and he used to get programs for dirt cheap, and it was legal for him to buy them and bring them back.

I don't think they have copyright laws in Malaysia... That's where my "legitimate" copies came from.

LMAO! I got it today and checked them out when I got home. Video quality doesn't look bad at all seeing as though they are pretty old films, but I did notice on Return of the Jedi that when in DTS the voices seem to echo a little. Anyone else notice that? And I slept just fine ;0)

Update...They all seem to be kinda muddy/echoee while in DTS mode, but sound great in Dolby Digital mode

That's not surprising, since DD is part of AC-3 laserdiscs and DTS is only on DTS-only laserdiscs. Who knows how the DTS was made?

A while back, I bought the Episode 1 on laser with DD-EX. It's a Japanese-subtitled, English-audio disc. It really sounds good, too.

The DTS was copied/created off the PCM or DD laserdiscs by someone in Hong Kong (I think), probably spending little time at it. I'm pretty sure "copy", not "remaster" is the appropriate word, here. Stands to reason the original soundtrack would sound better, since a copy can't sound better than the original.
