Ok, I'm just quoting here, but did anyone see the movie "Life or something like it", with Angelina Jolie?

About 20 minutes or so into the movie, her screen sister gives their screen dad a Bose wave radio and says: "It's a Bose, it has the best sound in the world".

Talk about marketing!

I wonder how much they spent for the product placement. My guess is about 10X what they spend on R&D for their speakers!

As to marketing vs. quality, it's similar to what everyone knows:

"It's more important to look good than to feel good; and dahling, you look mah-velous!"

I've heard its 65% of their budget that goes to marketing. While we all knock it here (as does any one who knows what good sound is) they are doing something really really right as they sell alot of stuff and I have alot of people that tell me how "great they sound"

No High's No Low's thats Bose. The Lifestyles Home Theater is total crap. Whoever thought to do all the sound processing through that joke of a sub needs to be beaten with one of those cube speaker. Lil speaker wont be so "cute" after that

The worst day of my professional life was the day i found that i would have to sell that garbage. Every time a customer bought one i felt the need to shower. Bose and the Republican party. Proof that all you need is a cute package and MARKETING!
