I read somewhere that there is going to be a 9300 released in the near future with wifi and cheaper than the 9400... more of a disposable remote...

Any word on this?

Does anyone know where the remotes are going to be at CES? Will they be with the rest of the Philips in the Renaissance Ballroom or do they separate the remotes since I don't think they are part of the Funai deal?

I couldn't find it or any of the remotes at CES. The Philips Room was Funai stuff and they had no idea if or where the remotes were displayed.

It is coming. I have inside info that it will be at CES but not an American based show. You figure it out. ;-)

Anyone enlighten me, please! Funai - Philips - what's the deal?

PS: I'm from Europe, so maybe this news doesn't affect me much.

Funai has taken over North American Audio/Video operations for Philips and will pay royalties for use of the Philips name.

A toucsscreen in the TSU9300. Maybe Philips have gave up to copy harmony like they tried in the 9200. I always did wonder when philips whould go for a Smaller pronto but with the same features. Here is the new remote:

You're saying the 9200 is a deprecate from the harmony remotes? It's the other way around.. Philips has been doing remotes for longer than logitech has..

Other than that I hope that they will be displayed at the ISE in Amsterdam next week

The Tsu9300 will be a Qvga touchscreen like the 9400 ( but smaller ), and can be configured by the new version of pep 2. ??? no prontoscript, but with the RFX94/9600 as extenders

This is what i know..

Whats the point if no ProntoScript thats what separates the Pronto's from everything else!

The number of enquires of "are you going to make prontoSqueeze for the 9200" was surprising!.. So let hope the "no ProntoScript" isn't true...

the specs were in a presentation some guy @philips had on his laptop.
It compared the 9400 and the 9300 so i think its true.. but i hope not!!

There is no prontoscript on 9300.

The aim is to have a entry level remote that uses the RFX94/9600 extenders, to be able to offer a simple alternative in big systems that has several TSU9400/9600/9800
