BCC here is a news flash for you. Custom dealers/installers like my self are not in any way shape or form depending on your business. You are the tire kicker, the price haggler, the type where the bottom line is by far the most important factor. In short you are not the type of client that the pronto pro line was designed for. We have had no problem selling hundreds of remotes at full retail with a $500 programming fee attached. It's called profit. It's not a dirty word. It's the reason each and every business exists. It's also security that the company a client spends $50,000+ with will still be around tomorrow for assistance or upgrades.
Perhaps as a "tech savy person" you could fire off an email to Philips and better explain to them how to properly run a multi national company selling what you deem to be "their same old technology".
Gods speed
Actually no, I don't price haggle installers I don't even contact them.
And no, price is not my primary criteria.
And yes I certainly could help philips build better products if they hired me to do so, but that's just you flame baiting so enough said. Running a multi-national is orthogonal issue.
Happy selling!
