Looking for direct video input codes for Video 1-8 instead of hitting the input button to get the right one. This is for a rear projection Sony 50" SXRD KDS-R50XBR1 remote RM-Y914.
Thanks

Thanks I am using the codes from the Factory Data Base for my Sony - I think they are pretty much the same for the later models. My TV has the 8 video inputs and the code below works perfect for that and all other functions. Flat TV LCD0837$ Ted

Ted are you able to get the CCF (Hex Code) from there for the inputs?
example:
0000 0068 0000 0030 0061 0017 0031 0017 0019 0018 0019 0018 0019 0018 0031 0017 0031 0017 0019 0018 0031 0017 0031 0017 0031 0017 0019 0018 0031 0017 0019 0018 0019 0018 0031 030C 0061 0017 0031 0017 0019 0018 0019 0018 0019 0018 0031 0017 0031 0017 0019 0018 0031 0017 0031 0017 0031 0017 0019 0018 0031 0017 0019 0018 0019 0018 0031 030C 0061 0017 0031 0017 0019 0018 0019 0018 0019 0018 0031 0017 0031 0017 0019 0018 0031 0017 0031 0017 0031 0017 0019 0018 0031 0017 0019 0018 0019 0018 0031 0FB2
I'm actually using the old Pronto Edit, ProntoPro TSU6000, Marantz RC5000, RC5000i, RC5200, RC9200, Onkyo CHAD and Yamaha RAV-2000, plus ProntoEdit, Touch Screen
Thanks

When all else fails, you can have a look here as these codes are proven and do work. [Link: remotecentral.com]Just because you have a 9600 does not mean that you cannot use codes from either a CCF or a PCF file. Sometime it pays to see what's out on the other forums and file sections, even though they are not the 9600. That being said, the FAQs in the Pronto and Pronto NG forums are also invaluable because you are dealing with a program that is 3rd generation and has evolved throughout time. Classic Pronto to Pronto NG to Pronto Professional.

I've already tried these codes and had no luck, I'm not using the pronto's, I just use the software to gain access to the codes. I'm not familiar with the PCF files.
I'm not sure even if this particular tv will allow direct input selection? I seen that some of the others did, and hopefully I'll find them for this.
Thanks

Well, it was worth a try. These codes work for almost ALL Sony units and I guess if they don't work then you may be out of luck.

OK I FIGURED IT OUT.. FINALLY !!! Hopefully this can help some others... There are 2 ways to get there the first is the best. At least in my case.
I'm using Cinemar's Mainlobby software w/ Global Cache
Direct Video inputs video 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8 & tuner
Example 1 (this is using the Discrete code but it needs to be written back to back, so your writing the the code twice.)
0000 0067 0000 000d 0061 0018 0018 0018 0018 0018 0018 0018 0018 0018 0018 0018 0018 0018 0030 0018 0030 0018 0018 0018 0018 0018 0018 0018 0018 043a
this is the code give here in remote central. Now just put a space at the end and paste it again. like so
0000 0067 0000 000d 0061 0018 0018 0018 0018 0018 0018 0018 0018 0018 0018 0018 0018 0018 0030 0018 0030 0018 0018 0018 0018 0018 0018 0018 0018 043a 0000 0067 0000 000d 0061 0018 0018 0018 0018 0018 0018 0018 0018 0018 0018 0018 0018 0018 0030 0018 0030 0018 0018 0018 0018 0018 0018 0018 0018 043a
Example 2 (this is by pressing the "ANT" button then the "TV/Video" button...)
to goto video 5 you would press the "ANT" button once then the "TV/Video" button 5 times. This is the same for all the inputs 1 - tv/video once, input 2 - tv/video twice and so on...
This is a goofy way sometimes cause if you hit the "ANT" button then slowly hit the "TV/video" and goto say input 5 and you want to go back to the tuner, you might be stuck in the ANT input so you have to hit the "ANT" button again... but if it went to the input just rite you can just hit the Channel up or down to go back to the tuner..This is the only way I can figure...
So I recommend the first example..
Thanks Lyndel & Paul
