Since I have an earlier non-updated version of the editor,
is that why I have fewer (basically NO) problems???

Tom,

Does anyone know the update that started all these problems? I have some 900s that I need to program for some upcoming jobs. I also have some laptops that may have older versions of the MX editor on it. If I knew what the version that Tom had I would use the old MX editor to do the programming until this problem is fixed.

Does this make sense to you all?

Dave T.

For me the currently released version (1.10.090) that's
available to the public works better then either of the
two most recent beta releases. Have you tried this release
yet?

Mike hasn't seen the failed "Press and Hold" macro issue
that I'm having. Has anyone else with the latest beta
seen this issue besides me?

Mitch57,how do I get 1.10.090 to try it out.I have 1.10.086,F/W:1.40,IR DB:1.76 and my MX-900 misses very often any butons.I live in Australia and URC dos not respond to my email.Thanks,cfive-1.

My zipfile says 1.10.079 but under "about" says .080.

I'm having roughly the same problems. I just can't be sure that a button press will send out the IR code. 99.99% of the time it shows on the LCD screen that it has gotten the button press, or if I turn on the beep, it will beep, but the code does not get sent.

I like the remote, although I'm not a huge fan of the flat buttons, but I think I'm just still not used to the layout compared to my multi-year-used 850 - however, it is driving me nuts that I just can't pick it up and use it like any other remote and be confident that a button press will be exactly that - a button press.

On another note, I have had my 900 since after the problems had started with other people, so I don't know which Editor/firmware versions are the ones that had less problems/no problems before that.

A live update should update your remote to this version:

Version 1.10.090
Firmware 1.41
IR DB: 1.77

If you don't get this version when you live update then I would suggest contacting your "Authorized Dealer" to see if they can help you get the current version.

I thought the symptom in this thread was when you press a button it does not show on the LCD that you pressed a button and it does not beep. I would look at your RF if your remote is showing a press and beeping but nothing is happening. I have not seen a lot of failures on my 900 but every failure I do see is no beep and no LCD change and consequently no command. I have never had my MX-900 beep with no command issued.

If that's addressed tome, I'm going to keep using my (working) old version. I can't mess around with bugs if I am leaving a remote in a client's home.

Yes. The post was addressed to you. I would suggest calling URC and explaining your situation. Hopefully they will send you a link to get the latest updates.

My symptoms are the same whether I have RF turned on or not.

Someone please correct me if I'm wrong, but it appears that URC's attempt to fix the original problem has spawned new problems.

That certainly is NOT the way my 900 is "working".

I'm going to do some investigative work with my 1000.
I've been focusing on the 900 and a couple of other URC
remotes as of late.

They do have similar button action. Too soft in my opinion.

Greg: Did you ever find similar failures on your 1000?

Everyone with the beta software, please try the new 093b version. I'm getting good response with it.

.093b also is updated to 1.43 firmware.

Notice that it also says "Downloading Program" this time, not just the Data file.

I'm about to try it out now.
