I've had my MX-3000 for over 2 years, and I love it (personally the best remote I've ever owned), I've used the software that I downloaded from the site for the last 2 years, yet when I went to sync it with the web I was told I need new a software product (sounds ok), but I need to register to get it. First off who remembers where they purchased from 2 years ago, and second there is no serial number on the remote and while I have the box I can not find it. The long and short of it is that I've been trying to get an account for over a week, but the company will not respond to my requests. An even bigger question is after 2 years why must I all of a sudden register my remote?

Very annoyed customer,
ERIC GANDT

All software/support issues should be posted in that huge thread in the other URC forum. It was a new policy started a few months ago to try to crack down on unauthorized dealers.

The registration process will not give you the live updatable software though, rather just what you have. It's the dealer's responsibility to do that.

However, since the sale was so long ago, URC should help you out. Did you email them or call? For some reason, URC never seems to answer e-mails. A quick phone call usually seems to work though.
