I'm having the same kind of problems with my MX-3000. Occationally I will press a button, it beeps, nothing happens, then and 3 seconds later the MRF-300 and the associated IR flasher will blink. Also, occationally I'll press a button, it beeps and nothing happens, no MRF-300 or flasher blink. This happens with both hard buttons and on the touch pad.
Perhaps the techs should look at the programming that is common to both remotes.
