I would like to find out who this guy is, he seems to have an inexhaustible supply of RTI products, including the zigby stuff, all going for below dealer, he has been doing this for the last 6 months now, and I have lost 3 RTI package sales as a result. My question is, how can this be a dealer if he is selling below cost, and I can understand buying out a bankrupt installer and selling that stuff online, but this guy continually has the new stuff, so that leads to the possibility of distribution theft or fraud?

Further the guy knows the tricks, if he had used RTI photos, or reproduced any descriptive text from the RTI site I could have gotten his add bumped.

RTI would need to police this. They have stricter policies in motion but it will be interesting to see if they enforce their rules. Ask to see a photo of the serial number to determine warranty date.

That RA2 system is highly banned from online sales. Plus I'd like to see him ship that entire system for $110.50 including s&h. The "person" that bid on that item has bid 100% on all of his other auctions so it's pretty obvious that he has multiple accounts and may just be laying the groundwork in feedback to rip someone off on a larger ticket item.

It's easy, report him to ebay, his shipping is way too high. Send links to his stuff to RTI reps and Lutron reps, he will get shut down.

We just lost another sale to this guy. Our customer looked at our bid, looked up the control stuff on ebay and simply bought it there for half price

Does RTI have an official word on this?? I know they have someone reading this site "unofficially".

How many times has it been recomended on here to not give out line-item bids? Besides, you lost out t the internet, which means youdidn't sell yourself, just products. I'm sorry you lost a sale, but there is no way any of us can compete with the internet on individual units, same way the internet can never compete with us on whole solutions.

If these people are trying to buy equipment online and then ask you to installing it on the cheap, then they are really not worth having as a client. Come time for billing you will waste more time trying to collect then the job was worth. Then let the guy screw himself and waste your time on more respectfully clients instead. In life you cant win them all.....

All of the sellers ebay adds have now been pulled and his source for parts has been eliminated. Big thanks to RTI for following through on this and for supporting all of us legitimate dealers
