I'm trying to program a RTI RK-3 panel and I'm having trouble importing (copying and pasting) a hex code from a Philips DVD-R (in a pcf). When I paste the code in the "Infrared Library Manager" it returns a "unknown code type detected" error.

Is there any kind of program that transform one code into another?

Example of one code I'm trying to import:
6000 0000 0000 0001 0030 00D1

Error:
"unknown code type detected"

If I'm wrong, somebody please correct me.
I think that is an RC6 code, device 48, command 209

Plugged into Makehex produces:

0000 0073 0000 0012 0060 0020 0010 0020 0010 0010 0010 0010 0010 0020 0020 0010 0010 0010 0020 0010 0010 0020 0010 0010 0010 0010 0010 0010 0020 0010 0010 0020 0020 0020 0010 0010 0010 0010 0020 0BE1

Here's a link (thanx troy) that explains what you're trying to do.

Just remember you use the RC6 protocol (6000 in your code)
The device and command numbers are converted from Hex to Decimal, from the last set of numbers in your .pcf codes.

0030, 00d1 = 48, 209

Ah. You said pcf. Not ccf. That's a great shorthand version of an IR code, but I think it shouldn't properly be called Pronto Hex, even though it's hex you got out of a Pronto. But only from the New Generation and newer product than that, if I remember correctly. Codes in ccfs will work.

I first saw these short codes when I pasted some long codes into the first TSU3000 I did. I closed the window, opened it again, and they had been stored as the short versions. Many of them didn't work, but that was very early in the NG saga.

I've always had a TS1000 for learning codes, and those codes work with RTI. In fact, the RTI IR PRO and the Pronto TS1000 are the two learning devices that always work. Get a TS1000 on ebay. You'll like it.
A good answer is easier with a clear question giving the make and model of everything.
