If they are AC motors then additional relays would be
needed as well as the RCM-12. This is not necessarily
easier if that is the case.

Thanks last two posts!!!

Avid67....not sure what you mean by "A/C motors with additional relays would be needed"?

"Every shading system I have seen has low voltage control circuit that you would integrate to on the control end. With rare exception to maybe a commercial steel sliding door for a retail store." Thanks for your input! Let me know if there is something I'm missing when looking at the RCM-12 which looks like a winner!

Thanks Edizzle, that looks like a winner for single party control (not sure why I never saw that part or why RTi techs didn't tell me that part was coming out).

Depending on your application of course. I have ran into some Silent Gliss blinds and they were 120V AC motors not unlike those in many motorized screens. The RCM-12 has relays capable of switching up to 28VDC@5A. The R2D7 is the RS-232 unit and can be used to control the RP60AUH for instance or the RP60AUH-Dry.

Not only that but they have DC solutions and IR as well.

no doubt about it elec-solutions has some nice stuff. in fact i think i am going to ue some of the wireless stuff to add control of a recently added electric screen system on the patio of a very large job we completed a while back. the screen system came with its own rf remote and control module but we want to integrate it into crestron system for automated and scheduled control as well as local in wall keypads. i could get a wire there but it would be unsightly.

but if junkie is controlling low voltage shades i think the rti piece will do very well and it looks like alot cheaper.
I love supporting product that supports me!

Agreed. I wasn't sure initially that was the case.

I talked to my rep today....and that RTi relay device should be released early summer with a list price of around 3-4 hundred bucks. It should be sweet! he worked with that realy at an RTi training for rep's last week out west somewhere.
