the new RS232 code library comes right up: looks like 100 or so sets of codes (many are for common brands like B&K, Knox, etc)

& DirecTV stb!

Progress!!

there is a new option for the emulator:

create standalone preview

this allows you to save it as a named file

the XP8 control system menu looks like the RP-6 but shows addl fields for events:

sense event
periodic event
daily event
startup event

[in addition to system macro menus]

in XP8 properties: there are additional pages for

clock
front panel password lockput
an option to preserve flag, relay, & output state on download
relay mode
relay state
sense inputs

in port names: there are 8 spaces for port names and a drop down box to select MPIO/RS232/sense/relay

MPIO=multi purpose in/out

IR port routing for all IR codes in one or more macros can be edited with a single command [drop down box in IR library browser: really nice feature although the channel macro wizard does not appear to be fixed: still cannot change port after it is set)

Bitmap files seem greatly expanded: several new categories

Use a connected T2-C, T3, or T4 to test codes from the IR Library Manager

.3 second delay after RS-232 strings in macros can be disabled

Holding the CTRL key while clicking automatically selects a single port in IR routing dialogs

Multi-step Undo and Redo

Pre-select a processor/port combination in the IR Library tab that is applied to all codes dragged from the library

Do I get to be the first one to complain about there still being no way of giving feedback about a setting? I guess I'm going to have to continue to use flags and lots of pages...

At least have a frikken mode where you see any problematic macros that are missing a legitimate page jump/sound,etc. I like it , I am glad it came out, but I am somewhat disapointed. It's almost like the hype of a new blockbuster movie, and then when it ends your like "that was it?"

You guys crack me up... never happy.

I am completely stoked about the new software. Even though I've already found a couple bugs, I'm really happy with it. Looking forward to digging into it further.

I agree. I'm calling RTI tomorrow and telling them I want 5.1 back because I don't like the new name. Geesh!!
