I purchased The 60803 in Jan. of 99. I wish I would have waited cause I can't watch 480p DVD. Oh well, I have been really enjoying the Tv any way. The picture is outstanding. I too have been waiting for their new HD receiver to arrive for the last year/promises,promises! Here it is Dec. and the last I heard it is due to arrive for retail Jan 5th. Has anyone heard any different? Also because Mits changed the imput board on the rear of the TV I understand I have to get an adapter cable for $300. !!!!! This is really unfair for Mits to charge early adapters of HDTV that much$ if anything at all. I am going to write a complaint to Mits. Does anyone else feel the same way. Does anyone know if someone else is producing one for less money?

Got a WS-65907 and am very pleased. Only have two comments: (1) too bad they couldn't have found space in that huge cabinet to put in a little back up battery for the clock. (for personal reasons, I have to go through the Sat reciever first, and Auto clock picks a wrong time zone to calibrate to. My VCR allows me to select a channel) (2) You'd think, with products costing that much, they would have an 800 tech support number.

Donald, If you go to the Mitsubishi-tv.com web site under press releases they vow to support us. Since the HD400 is not out yet I have not been able to test it. On Tuesday I got an email from them that they would ship by the end of this week...don't know if they did.

Bob, why can you not play a DVD progressive scan through the unit?

Ok getting tired of the 32 4:3 sony, thinkin' of taking the plunge and getting a RPWS monster.
I'm considering the Mitsubishi 55 or 65, either Diamond of the Plat Plus. Wadda y'all think.

Questions:

-Is the VGA input option on the WS65857 worth it or will I just try it once and then never use it. does it damage the screen with prolonged use.

- Gonna sit about 15-18 feet back from the set, should I get the 65 rather than the 55".

- Do I need a service contract for a certified tech adjustment or not.

Which model? WS 65 / 55 - 807/857/907

FYI, Looked at the new Sony 16:9 - yuk. Look like crap, washed out picture. Want a Pioneer Elite, but need to continue eating and paying rent, so opted for the Mitsu.

lemme know what ya think,

I have the WT46807 and the cable signal looks fine. Even better than it did on my regular 32 inch Sony. I'm guessing Kent has a bad cable signal or something is wrong with his TV. I know the WT46805 has power supply problems which can cause problems. Anyway, a good sight is www.hometheaterspot.com One guy even sells attenuators to fix the Mits horrible +25% red push.
