I know it does not matter what type of speaker it is if it sounds good to u. Isn't that what matter's. I have loved B &W speakers from the first time I heard them in 93 it was the big black matrix series. So i quit my job and started working in the av field.

My problem is that I have got my speakers 802 in cherry and I love them to me they are the best thing in the world. My owner said to me the other day that u do not here everything with my speakers. He loves the new home BagEnd speakers.

This is not the first time I have heard this. I would like to hear your opinion on b&w speakers.

My Equipment:

Aragon 8008 st pre Klipsch amp
Aragon 28k mk2 pre-amp
Denon 3910 dvd player
Monster htps 7000 ss

I can't say anything bad about any B&W. We have a pair of the diamond 802s in our showroom running off a Chord preamp and amp. Totally awesome. We even changed the minds of a few of our clients who used to not like B&W. In my opinion, B&W makes some of the most tonally correct speakers. Not harsh in the highs and not boomy in the low end. Plus they are beautiful speakers.

The thing about speakers is there isn't an incorrect choice, if you like the sound and the price, it was a good choice for you. It's hard for me to choke these words out, but that goes for bose too.

I would entirely agree. I can recollect, some years ago, someone advising me that Lowther made the "best" speakers in the world. Having tried them, however, I can report that they don't; or at least in my opinion they don't.

Speaker choice is very much a personal thing. I presently use PMC. Some would claim their transmission line design is flawed; I however think they're excellent.

B&W SPEAKERS ARE VERY SENSITIVE AND CAN PLAY QUITE LOUD THIS CAN AFFECT YOUR HEARING OCCASIONALY MAKING YOU SPEAK LOUDER THAN NORMALLY ; )
I would totally agree with diesel and djy .I have owned B&W speakers and was very happy with them. The key if you want to upgrade is have a home trial of speakers with your kit and see if you can hear any improvement.

B&W 802 are one of the speakers I would love to own. I didn't find them to be overly sensitive and have heard them with various high end amps including Classe, Rotel, Conrad Johnson, Aragon, McIntosh, Jeff Rowland, Audio Research and a few others. They are less room sensitive than the 801s. I own at the moment PMC speakers as I've always liked the sound of transmission line speakers. Speakers are really a personal choice. 802s are really good ones though.

The 805s are awesome. Put a good sub with them and you will have a great system. I would definetly put some good seperate amps with them, just to get their full potential. As far as the sub goes, I would suggest a Digital Drive Velodyne. You can "tune" the sub to the speakers and your room, adjust and preset the servo control for multiple settings, and even put in a certain dB gain for a specified frequency (great for movies).

Same goes for the 705s, but I'm not as fond of the look as the 800 series.
