I would entirely agree. I can recollect, some years ago, someone advising me that Lowther made the "best" speakers in the world. Having tried them, however, I can report that they don't; or at least in my opinion they don't.
Speaker choice is very much a personal thing. I presently use PMC. Some would claim their transmission line design is flawed; I however think they're excellent.
