I have a problem which I'm sure has been brought up before. I have a RCA Directtv Plus receiver. The RF out goes to a tv in my bedroom. The sound is mono. Does anyone know of another receiver which the RF would be stereo, or of a mod to change this to stereo?

Thanks for any help.

Agreed. No manufacturers go to the expense of putting stereo RF encoders in their boxes. If you want stereo over RF, you'll have to buy your own stereo encoder (and when you see what you have to pay you'll understand why they aren't included in DBS boxes), run your RCA outputs into the encoder, and distribute the resulting signal.

I just ran 3 RG-6 cables to my second room to combat this problem. That's 3 for stereo and composite video. I'm not sure what pricing is on RF modulators, but this was pretty cheap. And my house works pretty well for running cable. (cat5 is next!)

My 2 cents. Isn't it better just to get a multi-switch and another Sat receiver. I'm assuming you already have a Dual LMB. The price of both have come way down. For about $100 and $5 a month you can watch in stereo and a different program in the bedroom.

Not compared to $25 worth of homemade cable. I already have a 2 receiver setup, I don't need 3. Everyone's situation is different, though, another receiver may be a better solution for some.

There's also the option of the WaveCom-type transmitter-receiver setups.
