Outcry in Ottawa was large. TVO has cancelled their plan to shut down OTA transmitters outside Toronto.

I'm sure many others in this forum would agree that there are more pepole using TV antennas to pull in local TV than the industry would like to think, especially here in Canada. Meanwhile WNED starts carrying PBS kids.

   Request to add conditions of licence for several television stations to multiplex some of its stations.

If this is permitted, I can see Bell Media doing the same for CHCJ-DT/CKVP-DT with CFTO-DT.
Note:  broadcasting will no longer be in 1080.
