Yes I got the monitor yesterday, no remote or tv tuner. As one might imagine, it doesn't really fit on a desk too well, so I might just get a VCR and use it as TV tuner and hook it up to my computer with a S-video cable if I want to watch some movies or sporting events or whatever.

I see what the JP1 cable does, it reprograms your remote. I won't need a remote for this monitor though :-), only for the VCR.

A JP1 cable will let you make your remote do just about anything you want. On the very basic level, you can use it to let you do ordinary stuff, like programming macros, etc from your PC rather than on the remote itself.

On the next level, you can add codes for devices that the remote can't control.

On a more advanced level, you can use it to do all sorts of cool stuff. For example, you could combine the codes from several different devices into one upgrade, kinda like how the "Home Theater" mode works in some of the newer remotes. You can also use it to get around any stupid restrictions that are built into the remote.

All in all, it's gotta be the best investment you can possibly make for the $14 starting price.

First things first Cooki, THERE'S NO NEED TO SHOUT!!!

Anyway, back to your TV, does it really not have a brand? Did you buy it new, and if so where from? Did it come in a box, and if so, was there a brand name on the box somewhere?

The only hit that I got on Google trying to search for your set was this...

The link doesn't work right now, but hopefully the site will come back and you can verify whether that is your set. Is yours a 13" set?

At any rate, the best I can suggest is that you use the remote's code search feature. If you don't know what this is check the manual. There's a link to it above if you've lost your manual.

Failing that, if you still have the remote that came with your TV, I can arrange for you to send both the original remote and the Mil4 remote back to UEI so they can add the code for you. The service is free, you would just pay to ship the remotes to California.

I have this same remote and would like to make it work with my KLH R3100 stereo receiver for which we have lost the remote. Any ideas of how to get the Millenium 4 remote to work with the KLH R3100? Any help is greatly appreciated!

I was able to get the remote to work with my KLH R3100 stereo receiver by following the instructions in the manual about learning codes. I used my KLH remote and "learned" the power button, then the up and down volume buttons. It works great.

I found a listing for this remote on ebay, does yours
look like the one in the picture below...

If it does, what you really have is a "Millenium 4" remote
made by UEI (Universal Elecrtonics, Inc) not US Electronics.

You can download a new manual from here:

The page is gone:( anyone else have the manual they can send me to wallofchaos@yahoo.com

I moved the PDFs from my hifi-remote.com server to my rockabilly.net server as the former was getting full and the latter had room to spare. You can still use the mail URL to get to my manuals...

but the indivual URLs have changed. The URL for the MIL4 manual is now...
