Hi,

I have no manual for this remote and therefore cannot program my TV. Any one know how can program my TV or how to obtain this manual?

I tried to look at US Electronics manuals here if I could figure out how to program this remote but it didn't work.

This remote can be bought at best buy, don't know if that means anything though.

Or if that can help me somehow. Now that I think about it, maybe i can go there and ask for a manual, but I think that is a long short.

I found a listing for this remote on ebay, does yours look like the one in the picture below...

If it does, what you really have is a "Millenium 4" remote made by UEI (Universal Elecrtonics, Inc) not US Electronics.

You can download a new manual from here:

Here's a direct link to the Millenium 4 manual.

You have to be a ultra super member to get one :-P

Bah . . . I give up on this. The remote codes don't work for channel up and down :-( And even if it did (looking at it again), I doubt it would get to the "aux" inputs, which I can't get to with my other universal remote either :-(

I will have to obtain a new TV to be able to get to the "aux" inputs :-( Lot of sad faces in this one :-(

Don't give up on this remote quite so quickly, this is a UEI remote which means that it has all of the secret powers of "One For All" and "Radio Shack" remotes (which are also made by UEI).

Check out my web site for lots of info on this remote.

Now, back to your TV. What's the brand and model of your TV and what setup code did you find that works it?

Regarding the CH buttons, it sounds like they are locked to your cable box. Read page 21 of the manual to find out how to unlock them.

My TV is a Panasonic CT-2013SA (1992) and I found code 0250 to work. I was hoping that the remote would have a "tv/video" button to switch to "aux." I think this is the way it was on the origninal remote. Interestingly, I think I got the TV into "aux" after I moved it and I had a universal remote at that time (I think) and I could not get it out of "aux" for a few hours. That story may seem somewhat pointless and it is, but it makes up for it with suspensefulness and entertainment value.

I will get a new TV soon I hope. I been hoping for a long time though.

Wow! It worked :-) I now have a new remote. It feels so much more solid and reliable then the old one, not to mention, the control and maneuverability is exquisite :-) Also the "last" button works :-)

Lot of smiley faces in this one :-)

There's more hidden gems that this remote can do. First off, it has a feature called "key mover" which you can use to copy buttons from one location to another, but more importantly, you can use it to add buttons that don't exist, using "advanced codes".

You can read up on advanced codes here...
[Link: hifi-remote.com]

Here's the list for TV/0250:
[Link: hifi-remote.com]

For example, I don't know if your TV has Picture In Picture, but if it does and you like to use that feature, you could pick a spare button on the Mil4 to be your PIP button, and you could program it using advanced code 232 (from that list).

Now let's say that you want to make the "A" button into your PIP button, here's what you would do...

1) Press and hold SETUP, 2 flashes
2) Type 994, 2 flashes
3) Press (don't hold) SETUP
4) Type 232
5) Press "A", 2 flashes

And you know what else, this remote is also programmable from your PC! So, if you have a device in your system that the remote doesn't control, you can hook it up to your PC and add a code for that device, using a process called JP1. All you would need is a JP1 cable, which you can make yourself or buy for about $14.

Read about JP1 here:

Thank you, I will also probably wind up doing this. It figures the day I get the remote to work (or more accurately, the day you get the remote to work) I get a new TV or monitor to be exact, but I will also use it as my TV. Here it is [Link: mp3car.com]

I think I might get a TV tuner for my PC (I have one, but I can't find drivers for windows XP), then I can use this remote for it :-)

How come you answer everyone's posts here? Are you the moderator or is this your website or do you just really love remotes and the unequivocal power they possess at your fingertips?

Are you saying that you have (or are getting) the NEC Multisync 3PG 27" monitor? Does it come with a remote? I don't have the codes for this set so I don't know if there's a code built into the Mil4 that would work it.

There's a bunch of us that are experts with UEI remotes and with IR signals in general, so we answer peoples questions when we can. I'm also the founder of the JP1 group, so I spend alot of my time answering questions over in the JP1 Forums also.
