I have a DishNetwork 501 receiver and a JBL remote. For some reason this this remote I have to press buttons twice for the Dishnetwork receiver to pick them up. Now I don't have any problems with any of my other peripherials (Sony receiver, Samsung TV, Samsung DVD/VCR)-- Just the dishnetwork. Is it true that some types of light in a room will cause the remote not to work well? Cause I think this is the case with my remote. Any help would be appreciated.

I had the same problem and there's a trick. When you learn your IR commands from your 501 remote to the TC, just quickly tap on the dishnetwork remote - don't hold the button until TC says learned.
