I am sure I am being lazy here, but I am about to get up and do the dishes, so I will forgive myself.

I am wondering how, in the NG remotes, to shift from one panel to another in a device. With the OG remotes, there were scroll arrows in the top and bottom margins. I don't see anything like this. I have stolen a pretty nice TiVo setup from Mike Burwen, which uses icons to shift from one panel to another, and it takes a couple of seconds for the remote to respond (of course, if the darn panel shifted right away, I wouldn't be bothering to ask this question), so I went looking for a way to shift to another panel and....and I need to go a panel that lists all the panels for that device, then choose one there? What a stinking method!

Whaddaya got that's better?

If you don't want to use the scroll-hardkey on the left Pronto-Side, there are "Special Actions" available, you can assign to any button you want:
"Page Up"/"Page Down".

Note: They only work with non-hidden pages.

Hi Ernie, I recently discovered the "back" special action command. Didn't know it existed until a few weeks ago. You can assign it to a hard or soft button. When pressed, it takes you instantly to the previous page you were on.

Which key is the scroll-hardkey? How can one key move you both up and down, or does it only move you one way? I always have a use for all of those keys, so I assign them. There is home, enter, menu and...and...and I can't remember what I do with the bottom left one.

Mike, I am not looking to go back, but, say, to jump to a device panel from the home panel in a turn-on macro, then be able to scroll within that device to another of its panels. As was done with the little almost invisible arrows at the top and bottom of the Pronto OG type of screen.

Ernie, if you want to Scroll with Page Up/Down, you have to have the panels in the device NOT be hidden. Page Up/Down only works for panels that are NOT hidden. Page Up/Down also cannot span multiple devices.

This is exactly what I thought and expected. Jochen's picture tells me exactly what I needed to know.

And, Mike, I know that Backward CAN span multiple devices because it just points back or forward again and doesn't pay any attention to how you got there. What it can't do is span anything with any particular already-laid-out plan...unless you made a macro of page jumps, then instructed the user to hit Back to visit certain pages...hmmm, is there a use for that?

Now, since there is no contrast adjustment at that place, is there a contrast adjustment somewhere else (if you just want to quit answering and force me to look at the manual, I will, eventually)?

Mabye you'll find the letters "CONTRAST" on my picture above. ;-)

Hold backlight and press scroll up/down to adjust the contrast.

Are those buttons really considered scroll up/down? :-P ... I thought they were page up/down. :-)
