Well, here's another from the same thing:
0100 000D 0000 0001 0003 0F3B
And I will say that I am somewhat surprised the Pronto captures these codes reliably... I'm surprised it captured a code like that at all. So, when are you going to tell us what it is? Greg

I also like the bug zapper idea.

lightning bolt is not fast enough and does not repeat. Basically if you can see a light, there are good chances you are wrong we are talking 10 1 milionth of a second.

The two codes show that the emitted signal has a stable clock although I can't tell from the bit patterns what the source might be.

Well, this is probably going to be a letdown...
...but it's a light bulb. Yup, an ordinary Sylvania 200w study bulb in my desk lamp. In the past this lamp has caused interferance with SOME learning remotes, but the ProntoPro NG is the first remote to actually attempt to capture that IR output as a valid code.
I had accidentally hit the "learn" button in PPENG before I was ready with the other remote, and was surprised when instead of the normal BZZZZZ of failure it beeped merrily. Wha-?
At any rate, the first non-repeating code was done through PPENG, and the repeating code was captured directly on the remote. It's all very consistant on what it captures.

Typically gas guzzling american... 200 watt bulb in a desk lamp, must be a very big desk. I use a low energy 15 watt bulb in mine ... but then we are british

Actually I'm Canadian... and it is indeed a very big desk, and I very much like light when working (and fluorescent energy saver bulbs are not good working light IMHO).

Only joking Daniel. Yes I already knew your nationality. Don't you ever sleep. My desk lamp is a normal filament type (60 watts actually)
