I am having a problem with the volume control with a TSU 7000 and and a Harmon Kardon AVR-7200. No matter if I learn the volume controls long or short the Pronto will only increase or decrease the volume a single increment.

The learned codes are

volume +

900A 006D 0000 0001 8070 C738

volume -

0000 006D 0026 0000 0155 00AB 0018 0013 0018 0013 0018 0013 0018 0013 0018 0013 0018 0013 0018 0013 0018 003E 0018 0013 0018 0013 0018 0013 0018 0013 0018 003E 0018 003E 0018 003E 0018 0013 0018 0013 0018 0013 0018 0013 0018 003E 0018 0013 0018 0013 0018 003E 0018 003E 0018 003E 0018 003E 0018 003E 0018 0013 0018 003E 0018 003E 0018 0013 0018 0013 0018 06AA 0155 0053 0018 0E55 0155 0053 0018 00AB

Now that I look at the codes, they look very different, but I am far from a IR encoding expert.

Does anybody have any experience with the HK line or know if this is any issue I can fix. Right now I have a macro for each volume push to speed up the speed of the change, but I hope I can change this to just holding down the button.

Thanks,

The first code is an NEC code. You should expect all your codes to start with 900A if the device uses NEC coding. Do the other codes start with 900A?

When you use the volume codes does the action list on the button consists of just exactly one action (being the IR code)?

The volume + is the only function on the HK that I see that starts with 9000A.

Intially I programmed the volume + & - buttons with only one action. Since the hold feature was not working, I set each volume press to simulate several presses to increase the speed of the volume change.

You should find all of your codes looking similar. Usually they would all have the same length (but not always).

You may have a bad learning environment. The FAQ has suggestions on how to improve learning - such as distance and room lighting.

That is the weird part, I tried learning from different distances, long press, short press and covering the remotes so no light wold intefere with the IR. I have the configuration saved several times with different names and the code looks the same in each file.

Thanks,

Use the codes in the built in data base for a Harmon Tuner. Those Volume codes have been solid for a few years.

learn the codes directly (or use the codes above from tokuro) to the volume up and down hard buttons on the device properties page for the hk receiver (no links).

now, link your volume up and down buttons from your other device pages to the hard button volume up and down on the device page for the hk reciever and this should work.

check that the button you are pushing and the button you are linking from have only one action each. push and hold only works if there is a single action on the button. otherwise, it is a macro and each action is just executed once....good luck...dmc
