What you have to realize is that here in the US, there is no model of Ford called a Prefect. I just took in that name, which was no more odd than Beeblebrox or Brut-Kidron 3, as a quirk of Douglas Adams. It was almost fifteen years before I ever heard of the car model, the Ford Prefect. Cue a backwards laugh in a time warp!
