I've had my ProntoNeo for about a month and it has worked fine before. Now, the first button pressed after activating the LCD screen fails to respond. If I want to change to channel 65, for example, I press the touch screen to activate the display. The first time I press the "6" nothing happens. The second, and all further times, it works fine. In effect, I have to press 6-6-5 to change to channel 65. This happens every time the display is activated.

Also, this only seems to affect the actual IR beam. I have several keys which transmit a signal, then jump to another screen. The jump works fine but not the IR transmission. For example, one of my hard buttons changes the TV to VIDEO 3 then jumps to the TiVo screen on the NEO. The jump occurs but the TV doesn't change to VIDEO 3. If I activate the key agin, before the LCD screen shuts down, the button works fine.

Any ideas?

This is the norm on both of my Neo remote, I believe it happened with the last firmwear update for the touch LCD back light option. Thus the first Touch turns on the Backlight/wakes the remote... Maybe even saves more power, don't know.. but it isn't broken

A couple of ideas:

- maybe there's a pause in the instructions which might be making things seem unresponsive on the first press?

- maybe this snippet is useful:

"When you place a link to other buttons (either other macro or function) on a device page, only the functions for that device will work. On the prontoNEO it is not possible to set or link functions for other devices on a device page.

For example if you link a macro containing actions for the TV and the VCR, and set the link on the TV page, only the actions for the TV will be carried out.
If the actions in the macro are mixed, and of more then one device, the link will probably lock-up, and emit a beep."

The RRC3200 doesn't do this. In fact some of the hard buttons, vol+/- channel+/- and the navigator controls, immediately send out IR and wake up the LCD sceen simultaneously when pressed. The other hard buttons just wake up the sceen and need a second press to transmit IR. As do all soft buttons. I was wondering where this is all set and if I can get all the hard buttons to respond with IR transmission immediately ?
