I've downloaded a bunch of bitmaps and after spending a lot of time programming the NEO I have found the bmp's quality to be unaccetable for the most part. Some are done right and they are good but the only way to tell is to actually download them to the NEO since NEOEdit has no problems displaying the greys. I could fix them all my self but that would be a pain. Besides, I have to reboot my computer after using any big program just so NeoEdit will work. So whos files contain some good bmp's. I'm looking for Channel logos, Tonk's style buttons, power switches, mostly anything cool. Thanks

hmm, most all I've DL looked pretty good on my Neo
Can't tell ya much, most of the Channel logos where made
by the same person and just reused.. I have had good look at taking Bitmaps out of CCF files and resizing them, so you can just make your own.

The org Channel logos are in a Zip at the Yahoo forums too..

After looking through this forum I have seen that you are one of the more active and helpful members from the beginning. This said I don't see how you can not at least understand what I am refering to. To say I can take a bmp directly from a ccf and put it on the Neo is inaccurate. I'm not saying that the channels don't look good because I honestly haven't even tried them. What I did load on my Neo was not acceptable and I simply wanted to keep myself from wasting more time programing my Neo with bmps that I would have to again redo. The reason I would really like to use the Tonk's style buttons besides the fact that they look cool is that their positioning is very similar to the controls for my PVR. I have found that I will have to modify them anyway since I definatly want the pressed state to look different and the controls will need flipped a little. If your telling me most of the other stuff is good then I can probably deal with tackling this task. Along with fixing the spongebob guy. Don't get your hopes up though. If I keep up my current pace my ncf should be done in a month or two.

Yo can take a CCF file, save the bitmap from it, and resize it in Photoshop. If the ratio is keeped, the bitmap will be fine. I also have done the same with MX-1000 remote bitmaps.

If you want, you can email me(Its in my Profile)
and I can email you some bitmaps. They do have 100 of the Channel bitmaps that where converted from the Pronto and should look fine. I know that there is more of them, as I didn't save the complete set, but as I stated, they can be found at the Yahoo prontoneo forum..as can other ncf files.

I thought that the Pronto bitmaps were 4 bit as opposed to 2 bit for the Neo.

I have found the best way to get my channel logos is go to [Link: dishnetwork.com]

You can click on the logo you want then it will bring up a info page the also hase the logo. Now put your mouse over the logo in the upper left corner then right click, save picture as: name it. now bring it into any Photo Editing (MS comes with Photo Paint)Now just edit the size by pixel util you get what you want.
I found the working pixel area for the NEO is W92 X H115. Hope this helps.
P.S. If you are use IE6 or higher then the save picture as option is remove (thank Bill) you will have to go to Netscapes web and download Netscape. The last version I saw it still alowed you to Save picture as:
