Does anybody have a solution for getting the NEO to work with X10, I am using my $50 radio shack remote to do it. I cannot get the neo to learn the codes, even after allot of coaxing, (moving distance, lighting etc) It will learn other ones, but not the X10 from the radio shack.

Chances are you will not be able to 'learn' the codes, since they are NOT IR codes. Unless you have an IR-RF X10 bridge, it's not possible. The remotes you are talking about use RF (radio frequency) and not IR (infra-red) for any X10 functions...
Your best bet is to purchase a bridge, which will convert RF signals to the appropriate IR signals...

Just buy an IR543 and convert IR directly to X-10.
Which is why I asked which remote... some X-10 remotes broadcast X-10 signals only in RF, while others do it in IR (and some both).

I have the IR543, and the 15-1995 RS remote. I can see the remote sending out an ir signal using my camcorder. I also ordered a Pronto 2000 today.

You should be able to learn just fine off of the 1995 -- what happens when you try?

I also have the IR543. The IR remote I am using is a 15-1925 RS. The combination works fine but I cannot "teach" the ProntoNeo the X-10 codes. I get the failed message.
Can someone tell me what frequency X-10 IR commands are broadcast at? Could it be a brand settings issue? There are a number of Pronto .ccf files with the codes around. Has anyone heard of a .ccf to .ncf translator program?

I fear the 15-1925 might actually be RF X-10?

The 15-925 is an IR/RF remote. I have disconnected my RF receiver and tested the remote with the IR543. Works fine, even lights the IR 543's pilot light when you send IR.
Still can't get the ProntoNeo to accept X-10 IR commands. I still wonder if the device setting (branding) does not somehow restrict the frequencies that the remote will accept
