I never really could get the VR-309 to work properly. My best success was to use the Tuner Kenwood 1597 code and then choose the IR code from the few available.
Between learning and using this code I was able to use most everything but the button that changes from DVD to VCR 1 to VCR2.
I became so frustrated that the NEO is back at BESTBUY! (they're great about returns...no box, no receipt, purchased 3 months ago...NO PROBLEM!)
I have since tried some chaeper remotes namely the RCA RCU810 and the SONY 900 Commander. Both worked as well as the NEO (in fact better in that they controlled the Kenwood) BUT the RCA didn't have enough memory and I didn't like the layout of either. Although I did like the buttons over the touch pad which I had trouble working the TiVo (stopping where I wanted while using FF & rew)
SO I have ordered an MX-500 from
www.RRDeals.com. Will I ever be HAPPY???? ;-)
