I see you made some of the new Music Choice icons, but I don't see some of the channels.

Gospel
Metal
Stage & Screen
Kidz Only!
Romances

Did you do these or is it just me that can't find them in your database? Your icons look great.

clear, couldn't get my hands on decent-looking music choice icons so i've been making my own from scratch. metal and kidz only are up. the other three plus one other haven't been finished but will be this weekend. once i finish with the one versions i will convert them so they're legible on the other remotes.
check the site early next week for those h-one missing and in a few weeks for 1100, 8xx, and 1000 versions.

all music choice favorite icons for all harmony remotes are currently up and ready to d/l. these represent the latest music choice channel update from 4/09.
haven't had a chance to test them all on the 1000 and 8xx platforms. would appreciate feedback if any are wonky or illegible.

clear33765 has nicely repurposed my graphics for the urc mx-980 remote. redirect to his site for that make/model icons: [Link: home.roadrunner.com]

Let me see if I can express my question lucidly because I just got my Harmony One last night. These icons will be visible on the screen of the remote when the activity "Watch TV' is active: Yes? While I like this option aesthetically and expeditiously I like having a menu item for "Favorites" on the screen too. So will the icons for the channels negate the "Favorites" option? And are these icons (and indeed any option on the little lcd screen) what are referred to as "soft buttons". Really I am having a hard time getting the remote to have create a hard button for my (Verizon DVR-HD box) Favorites 1, and Favorite 2 as the guide just has way too many channels that I have no interest in. Excuse the long (double issue) question and Thank you. Signed "A brand new neophyte newbie that tries not to be redundant".

dennis, i'll try to answer as lucidly as i can :)
answers in order from your post:

-These icons will be visible on the screen of the remote when the activity "Watch TV' is active: Yes?
Yes.

-So will the icons for the channels negate the "Favorites" option?
No. It will be available in addition to your dvr's "Favorites" option.

Your dvr's 'favorite' list which is different then the harmony remote's favorite screens.
the favorite icons will be on your remote's lcd screen and can be used to essentially "speed dial" to each channel you want by pressing the icon.
the dvr's favorite channel list (if it's like mine) allows you to set up a list of often-viewed channels from your dvr's menus and scroll thru them rather than the entire channel list available from your provider.
If your dvr's oem remote has a "favorites" button, then you can map it to any of the harmony's hard or soft (lcd) buttons. The harmony's favorites are a separate function all together.

Did that answer your question?

dennis, in the harmony software when you're setting up your activities there is an option to add buttons. there are two tabs: one to allow you to map functions to the hard buttons and another will allow you to map them to the lcd buttons. from there you can add the remote functions of devices used in that activity to the buttons on the harmony remote. if the 'favorites' function is not available then you can 'learn' it from your oem remote.

Thanks. First of all the icons work terrifically. Secondly the "favorite" carryover from Verizon is a non issue because the Harmony One guide button engages "favorites". actually just like the Verizon remote: 1 click- favorites 1, another click-favorites 2, another click- all channels that fios offers. At this point of full time experimentation since last night i'm not even sure how i did it or if the activity "watch TV'' engages this feature as a default and i didn't know it (how could I?). Much thanks for the answers on so many threads they're bumping into each other. My best. d

Hey, I don't know if anybody else is having issues getting to www.iconharmony.com .. I saw a few comments on it.. but theres something funky with my DNS servers so I can't resolve the hostname, if you navigate there by IP it works flawlessly (http://75.126.155.202).

I just picked up one of these remotes btw and I appreicate iconharmony, thanks!

Thank you so much for these icons. I've used them in my Harmony One and a Harmony 1100. I love them! In Salt Lake City we have a local station, KJZZ (http://www.kjzz.com/). It is the only station in my favorites that I do not have an icon for. I downloaded the template and attempted to make one myself but my Photoshop skills are seriously lacking. Would it be possible to get one made? My favorites would greatly appreciate it. (So would I.)
