Does anyone know how to keep this DVD player from automatically playing when the power is turned on? I have the auto play feature turned off in the setup menu but according to the manual that only stops the auto play with the timer and demo 1 & 2. Thanks

If the disc is "new" it'll always play. If the movie is in progress, it will not.

I have this same player and the same problem.
I hate it! Another annoying thing about it is it always reverts to "repeat all discs" at power-on.
Also, it doesn't remember the titles of your CD's... you must select each disc in order for it
to read and display the title in the little list that you can pop up by hitting time/text.
Other than that, it's a great player! :')
