I have this same player and the same problem.
I hate it! Another annoying thing about it is it always reverts to "repeat all discs" at power-on.

Also, it doesn't remember the titles of your CD's... you must select each disc in order for it
to read and display the title in the little list that you can pop up by hitting time/text.

Other than that, it's a great player! :')
