Well, if you're laughing I guess that means getvcds.com isn't a reputable place to buy DVDs from if they won't exchange them or take returns. It's a shame you'd recommend a place like that to this forum community.

So what will be the difference between this and what will be released in June? I am sort of confused.

just read that real long thread. i hope i get the region 0 version instead of the modified region 3 that has no english soundtrack or subtitles.

I read in a newspaper article that quoted Ang Lee as saying that he would never dub CTHD into english due to it losing it's authentisity in the dubbing. So if your DVD is dubbed, it's probably not the real thing. Then again, that's just what I read, and he may have changed his mind.

The version I bought at getvcd was really good, including the packaging. The paper was glossy and it had the english dub version which I found pretty good. It was 5.1 which was great. It worked fine on my pioneer cd without hitting stop first. It did have the problem with the trailer which I didn't care about anyway.

I just checked the prices of Getvcd and with postage to the UK it works out more expensive than getting from amazon...that plus the worry of this press stop and next lark and is it real kinda makes me want to wait...Steve

I bought mine at Getvcd and it looks like the one on the bottom in the picture above. Doesn't that mean it is the legit one?

It's been out in Asia for the past 4 months. There are 2 versions, both Region 3. One has both English language & subtitles which has just been re-released (around US$20) and the other is an Asian version without English.

I believe the R1 version is out early June.
