Have an install about two years old, no prior issues.
Client lost picture to Sony TV from Sony 5000ES AVR. Audio still working(Directv receiver)
Tried power reboot, nothing. I went to site and pressed HDMI out button in the AVR. Went from showing A to off then back to A. Picture came back in. Tested things and seemed ok, for the moment...........
Any idea what the actual issue may be? Maybe try a firmware update at some point? Any thoughts would be appreciated.

You could do a firmware update, but this might need a hard reset. Next time, unplug the HDMI cable or install an HDMI splitter.
My mechanic told me, "I couldn't repair your brakes, so I made your horn louder."

You think it's an edid or something about a setting in the AVR, Sony TV, Roku or Directv?
