The only issue I have had with Eero is getting through the sell on the Android app. It always gets hung up on one step or another. Across several phones, several generations of Eero hardware, and using several different modems/routers. A few calls to tech support with no clue. iOS to the rescue. Just today I borrowed another subcontractors phones to finish the setup. So dumb. Once it's set up, the Android app works fine. Go figure.

Lots of Eero issues over the last few days. Reddit has some threads about it as well. Anyone else seeing this? We are seeing continual drops from attached Eero extenders. These are in both wired and wireless configurations.

Ex: Network with 7 Eero units with only the gateway hard-lined. 3 units keep dropping off and coming back on-line.

Ex: Network with 7 Eero units and 2 hard-lined units has 3 units that keep dropping off and coming back on-line.

Both are like-sized houses...hence the 7 units (9-10K square feet).
See our Youtube page for info about smart homes, great audio and more.

I have not had any new issues.

The last couple of jobs I had issues with were using the original Eero Pro as the router. Mind you these were medium size homes. I swapped the primary Eero for the new, larger, wifi6 Eero Pro units and the issues have seem to be resolved.

I spoke with Eero tech support a few weeks ago, and the fellow I talked to claimed that when hardwiring Eero units, the network switch was normally the issue. He sent me a list of unicorn switches that have no "smart" features built in. It was a little ridiculous.

Care to post the list?

What does this mean? No smart features is a plus, or causes issues?

Who is on the list?
There is no truth anymore. Only assertions. The internet world has no interest in truth, only vindication for preconceived assumptions.

I’ve had a long dry spell as far as Eero issues go, but suddenly I seem to be getting calls about them locking up or bogging down.

Anyone else seeing a sudden bump in issues? I was having issues like this about a year or so ago and they suddenly all went away, but now they seem to be resurfacing.

Have a few eero installs where units that are wirelessly uplinked have slower speeds now. Went to a house and where they were getting 250 mbps before now are getting 100-150 mbps. Wired units are still fine. Noticed the firmware upgraded to 6.14 on the ones that seem to be having that issue. Eero tech support says to upgrade to 6.15 but on the installs with the problem that version isn’t available.

Eero says nothing is wrong....

Snap informed me it was a HUGE no-no to use eero with sonos, they also said dont use a managed switch. I was like WTF? lol I never use eero as a router tho, not sure if that makes a different. Pretty good luck so far with eero on the few I have done. Not my first choice.

We've decided it's a HUGE no-no to use eero, period.

eero is just another tech gimmicky product, not really a serious piece of equipment... kinda like the sonos and ring camera.
I came into this game for the action, the excitement. Go anywhere, travel light, get in, get out, wherever there's AV trouble, a man alone.

+1 Winner....winner

If Snap is saying not to use a managed switch with Sonos, then I'd say their support has really fallen.

An eero rep claimed there will soon be an eero update that will deal with some SONOS compatibility issues.

So, it's a SONOS problem that EERO has been forced to fix. That's just super.

I didn't appreciate their attitude. It was as if eero has always been perfect and they are reluctantly accommodating Sonos. They didn't mention how the update improves the situation. My suspicion is that eero will avoid splitting Sonos across separate subnets.
