People have been letting you know how they feel for a while now.  I can say, as an outsider who doesn't use your service, there would have to be a major shift for me to even look into it.

Did I just read that Portal is going up to $89/month?

Hey, Mike it's true! Well, technically $89/mth for the 1st user and then $49 for any user after that.

p.s. We had a bet on how long it would take this thread to be resurrected after our announcement. The over/under was 10pm ET. I lost.

How can you POSSIBLY think this is ok and just brush it off like “meh” it’s only money. That’s over $1000 a YEAR for a half baked platform that, I’ll admit, has been getting better, but still not worth the $49 we pay now.

I’ve gone back to dtools and have only been using the platform for smaller things and to allow me to see if things are getting better. You can consider me out.

That is BEYOND absurd.

Very Absurb. They raise the price again and yet the platform is not even worth the price they wanted at $50.

Not sure how portal doesn't see there are other big boys out there charging 90$ BUT its a full bidding system with real live pricing built in. You can get your vendor accounts unlocked on the fly now. Direct or from your distro, send POs as well to them and it just WORKS !!

D-Tools Cloud is where its at. Still new but worth every penny we pay !!!

An NO not a Dtools fan boy, just stating facts on what works for the thousands we pay a year for the most important software we need..

Again absurd to raise the pricing...

They need to have a different model for low-volume customers. PPP or Pay per Proposal would work.

Just logged in and saw this. Very disappointed. The value in Portal for me is the access to the catalogue and how easy it is to create a proposal. We only use Portal for sub $10k projects because it actually gets too messy for complex projects, yet it's the right fit for easier ones. This was worth about $35 a month for us. We would pay the $50 occasionally for not ordering enough through Portal, but $90 is asinine. This smacks of a dying company.

It sounds like their going to go out of business either way. Changing their mind on the pricing structure won't keep them out of the red yet I'm betting the losses in subscribers will require, at the least, a major restructure.

I get it. We all run businesses. It always comes down to the value equation at the end of the day.

I told Josh that I thought they were making a really big mistake. I really loved the concept and the ease of use, but they have priced themselves out of the market.

I hope I'm wrong, but I'm fairly sure that Portal won't make it to 2020 -- at least not in its current form. Very sad.

How are those rebates coming along?
There is no truth anymore. Only assertions. The internet world has no interest in truth, only vindication for preconceived assumptions.

Yeah those are about 6 months behind, at least in my case

For the new monthly fee I’ll be going back to Dtools (lost mine during hurricane Harvey).
Portal has never really saved me any time and has serious limitations

I think if you do 4 or less a month it's free.

Not 100% sure about this. We just have it connected to our Dtools. We use Dtools for the proposals but it connects to portal for the data.
