Guys check the expiration date on your portal rebate card.
Mine is expiring in June and unless new ones get issued kiss that cash goodbye
Also since founding has seemed to have stopped I’m not counting on a new card.

I don't think that is how it works.  The money was transferred to a third party which handles the rewards card.  Once that happened, Portal no longer has that money.  Yes - that card may have an expiration date, but so does your ATM card.

If you look closely at your card, you will see 'FUNDS DO NOT EXPIRE' written on it.  I'm pretty sure you'll get a new card with a new expiration date on it, much like your bank or credit cards.

I get business model changes.... I would have hoped current accounts would be grandfathered in, or a discount of like 50%.

If i ran portal, i would do 50% all current accounts, and all new accounts would be more.

Portal just pissed off most, if not all, of their customers. I dont think there is one that is like "sounds good!" lol. I myself will be going to dtools, or jetbuilt.

I hope your right. My card is maybe a year old, why would they expire so quickly?

Sooooooooooo.....Apparently I never changed my CC number on Portal's site after I was issued a new card a few months ago. I didn't notice. Josh noticed and it looks like he emailed me to make a payment 5 days ago. That's FIVE DAYS. Over a weekend. To be clear, that was Thursday the 2nd. I worked that day until 9:30 pm. I worked Friday until 9 pm. Saturday, I worked all the way through to 2:30am. Sunday, back at work at 8:30am. Yesterday, Monday, I worked until 8 pm. Today was the first day I got a chance to even look at emails. Today is also the day I went to put together an invoice for deposit of an upcoming job. Go to Portal.io, click to login. ACCOUNT DOESN'T EXIST. You f'ing kidding me? You give 5 days, of which 2 are a weekend, to get the card updated before you shut down the account? Guess I'll be rebuilding my Dtools file faster than anticipated. I already knew I'd have to since portal won't last the end of the year, figured I'd have more time to do it when things slow down a bit. Guess not.....

You were going to have to do that anyway Golden. Starting to appear that no one will be able to log into their account after the shut down that's looking inevitable.

What would a bad card number have to do with shutting down an account anyway?? Its not like they would ever ship something prior to it being paid for anyway. Looks like the CF is getting bigger.

Like I said, I expect them to disappear by the end of the year, MAYBE into next year the way things are going.  But to email me a reminder and then shut the account down after just 5 days, 3 of which are business days is insane.  Especially when you consider they still owe me rewards dollars from MONTHS ago.  I've waited for 6 months for them to pay what they said they would, but the second I there is an issue charging my card and they have to wait, they shut it down.

Could the fact the they owe you rewards be a driver to that.....broke the "terms and conditions" so shut down and any aged rewards are null and void?

Considering they owe back from 6 months ago, I would hope that has nothing to do with it.  Would be an awfully shady way to try and get out from paying any.  I don't have many left, I stopped using their system to order when they stopped paying the rewards out.  Regardless, to shut it off is absurd.  I can see not allowing new proposals to be built, but to shut it off after just several days of notifying me is just bad business.


Edit:  They owe 9 months back now of rewards dollars.

I was thinking snap should release a proposal tool at the very least. Used to love their rack builder tool. Haven't used it since they redid it though. A proposal tool would be a great addition to their offerings

Could be interesting. Snap has a d-tools relationship, but it's obviously not their product. Portal probably has a ton of debt though.
