The ATM System 1 is what I use for Enclosed racks. Moves a Ton of air and is pretty quite. Of course, that option requires outside(or Attic) venting to be used...... Use a Solid Middle Atlantic Top and cut it out to accomodate whatever flange your using.

There are Refridgeration systems out there as well, but they take up a lot of space and are pretty noisey

Did you make sure to vent the cabinet both at the top and bottom so the air will enter and exit? If you didn't you can spend all you want on fans and it wont help.

What, specifically, is the problem? Since Active Thermal is one of the recognized industry leaders in cooling, I'm sure they'd like to know WHY their stuff isn't a good solution in your application. I'm sure you've already done this, but are all the fans blowing in the proper direction? Ie; pulling heat away, and NOT blowing heat onto the gear...I have had fans in the past the were either inserted backwards or wired in reverse....

Yes all the fans are installed correctly. But I find that those fans don't move enought air. can someone point me in the direction of the more high end coolig systems, something similar to ann A/C unit designed for this purpose. There is no ceiling in the pricing. as most of my systems are not less than $150,000.00

What exactly do you have in this cabinet? An F-18? Maybe the fans move enough air but you (or the cabinet guy) didn't make the vents large enough to move the air. Can't fit a bowling ball in a golf hole...

umm...well...I had some more info, but apparently we've chased Michael off in RECORD time....too bad, cause ACTIVE THERMAL tends to cool Meridian, Krell and Boulder just fine....oh well.....

What the hell was that all about? You would think that someone that installs $150,000 systems would be open to a little custructive criticism from his peers. Maybe he's just too smart to hear our ideas? Notice he deleted every post except where he mentions how much his systems cost.

Maybe if he kept his BIG head out of the cabinet it would have a little more air space to cool down!

This guy is full of it..even though I didn't get to see his original posts. In all the time I have been doing this and that's been awhile I have never had a system over $150K on one system. Far as the cooling goes buy a clue even a rookie could figure that one out!
