Lexicon MC-12...Runco PFP-7...Runco CL-500/700. Manuf remotes and Pronto 6K and 3K. MC-12 and RT-10 remotes change either or both Runco units. Anyone else?

TJG,
Assume for a moment that you, like I, do not know what you have run into. Then read your post and see if there is enough there for one to have the barest clue what this is about. "Change" is not enough for me to go on.

I find that I, as a reader and contributor here, would find your topic mildly interesting if I dealt with the particular components you mention, but without a description of the actual probem, I would not lift a finger to search the hundreds of possible remote control button pushes for the problem that you DO NOT bother to describe. I would either ignore the thread or at least wait for someone to say, "give us an example."

So, give us an example. Does some obscure button on the MC-12 remote (shift TV-M, for instance) make some weird change on the Runco, such as turning off the no-signal-present auto-power-off? Or does changing the MC-12input turn off the Runco? See how the particulars can make a difference in the interest level, or even in our ability to recognize if we have seen what you are referring to? In particular, if you do not give us any examples, we can honestly tell you that we have never seen any problem, and maybe we have never tried the combinations you are having problems with. You will be sitting there wondering why nobody else has this problem, when maybe we do.

Please give us examples.
A good answer is easier with a clear question giving the make and model of everything.

Ditto that. I was guessing someone would weigh in on that one. :-)

this happens in a demo room. when I get to it there is no picture onscreen. at this time DO NOT know which button presses caused problem. Will inform when found. I realize the info not complete, thought someone might have dealt with general interaction problems on these units. sorry to have wasted your time.

So, despite your still not actually telling us, it looks like you think something is blanking the screen. Or maybe changing the input on the projector. Or maybe changing the input on the Lexicon.

Hey, one way that a Lexicon remote interacts with ANY projector is that if you run the video through the Lexicon, then switch the Lexicon away from the connected inputs, the Lexicon remote will thereby make the screen go blank. And if the projector turns off after X minutes of no signal, you can say the Lexicon remote turned off the power on the projector.

Do the projectors have auto power off or auto screen blanking? What makes you think any buttons have been pushed at all? Do you know for a fact someone has been in there messing with the remotes before you go in?

A good answer is easier with a clear question giving the make and model of everything.

Why are you assuming it the Lexicon remote if you havent actually witnessed this occur? How do you know someone wasnt hitting buttons on the front of the unit???? Or one of the Source componants remotes?

I DO remeber a Yamaha DCD-C900 remote "FWD TRACK" button would Cyle the input on the VHD Controller of a Runco VX101......
