Hello, I just began working with the TSU6000 and am in the process of programing it for my first system. Im having problems with all of my equipment responding, when i switch the remote to RF. When I have everything set on IR and point it at the equipment it all works perfectly. It seems that what ever the command is that i put first in my action list is the only one that will work RF. Can someone please tell what it is im doing wrong?

Yes, I have tried several different delay times and arrangements and its always just that first command that seems to work.

This is the wrong forum, but here goes. When using RF, all of the commands in your list have to be in a device that's also using RF. You cannot mix IR and RF commands in a macro. If you need to do this, create a hidden panel in your RF device and store the codes there and alias those buttons.

Does this mean I can not place a command that is already an RF signal (such as my Bose macro),with a command that is IR and needs to be converted to RF through the Pronto (such as my JVC DVD player)?

HERE IS AN EXAMPLE OF HOW MY LIST IS SET UP!

Macro-TV ON (learned button, stored in macros)
.02SEC
DVD Power ON (learned in this device)
.02SEC
Macro-Bose(TS-600)-Watch DVD (Bose macro from Bose RF)

1) The Pronto cannot talk RF directly to Bose. What Bose equipment do you have? if it is one of those that can also do IR, then the Pronto needs to talk to the RF base and then the RF base will talk to the Bose. If it is not, then you also need an other device that talks Bose RF.

2) a Macro can do some RF commands and some IR, but what it will sends depends on where the actual command is located.

SEEKONE,

Anthony is right, the Pronto can't send RF directly to your Bose. There are mods that you can do, but you'd most likely have to talk to Dave Houston in the Pronto Forum. I don't know if he comes into this forum.

Anthony is also correct in telling you that the RF/IR capabilities are dependent on the location of the original IR codes.

I have the Bose TS-600 Built-INviible System with the SE-1 multi-switcher. The bose is not a problem everything Bose works pefectly all bose equipment is RF and the macros I have, work right from the Pronto. It is my other equipment that im having problems with. Should i try puting my other items under a different device and make a button on a hidden panel for the Bose commands and alias that button?

I'm looking at your example and it seems that you have the IR code learned in the macro and are sending everything out RF. Instead of learning the code again here, use an alias here to all the IR commands and see if that works.

Also, what you may want to do is set your macro up for IR and alias the RF commands. I have a mix on my system power off button, it goes:

It's in an IR device:
discrete power off - TV (this is the device it located in)
discrete power off - VCR (IR)
discrete power off - DVD (RF) - alias
discrete power off - CD (IR)
discrete power off - RCVR (IR)
discrete power off - Lights (RF) - alias

I alias this one system power off button in all my panels, so I can turn everything off from any panel regardless of IR/RF.

Hope this helps.
