I personally have not had that problem since the last firmware update in July (where they indicated they fixed it). SJ

What they did in July (search for firmware differences in 7.2.22, I think) was to "patch" the control panel firmware to change the order/set of requests sent to the extender to prevent the problem.

This "patch" resulted in different behavior and broke some 232 scripts. I documented this in the thread I suggest searching for.

During the Beta cycle, I was told that they'd finally found the underlying cause, in the extender f/w, and fixed it.

I also inquired as to whether or not they were going to back out the "patch" from the control panel firmware and never got an official response. I suspect that latest firmware still has the "patch".

A good way to test would be to use the 6.0.7??? cp f/w with the latest extender firmware to see if problem has truly been corrected. As I have seen the ramping problem only 1 time, I am not a good tester for this. :-)

It might also be that there were multiple underlying causes, each resulting in similar problems.

That is correct. Changing it back would likely have resulted in having to change those scripts again as well.

Hello all,

do anybody can simply torrent the PEP3 and every firmware updates ?
This will simplify for people like me who are not professionals but who spent a lot of money of Pronto's device.

Thanks !

Elephant,

In my country, posting PEP3 would violate my agreement with Philips and the intellectual property laws. Unless you have purchased the newest in-wall controller, there is nothing in PEP3 that you need. All other versions are available on this site.

Note that the forum regulars read every message. Duplicate posts are unnecessary and very annoying.

PEP3 supports the new overlay feature which I consider a major enhancement to the editor/firmware. I'd love to take advantage of this feature as would many others I'd imagine.

Sorry, I cannot help you but Daniel has posted a sticky thread at top of this forum that might provide some assistance.
