This one has me stumped and I'm hoping someone may have run into this one before.

Customer has a Pioneer Elite BDP-51FD. Wants to use the TSU9200 but I can't get the codes to take. I downloaded the latest O1R database and am using the latest Pioneer Elite Blu-Ray codeset. Those didn't work.

I then Fast loaded all the IR commands through the My Database interface. Still nothing from the remote.

Any suggestions or is this just a compatibility issue between the Pronto and the Elite player?

Maybe you are not learning properly or the codes you are learning are not clean? (See Classic Pronto FAQ in the Classic Pronto Forum).

You can download PEPV1 or PEPV2 and copy/past the IR code data between editors using the first XCF file from this page.

I appreciate the advice, but if it was bad codes shouldn't some of the codes work? None of them work at all through the remote or the extender using the following steps:

1) Downloaded / replaced mydatabase with latest August 12, 2010 O1R database
2) Replaced previous Pioneer Elite codeset with Pioneer Elite (All Blu-Ray) codeset

When none of the codes worked, then...

3) Did Fast Learn for each known code. Codes (according to Pronto Configurator) were accepted.

Still, none of the codes work.

I'm going to try copy and pasting the codeset you referred me to next.

PS. Thanks again for your help. As mentioned earlier, this one has me stumped.

Unfortunately, I don't have a TSU9200 to test with so it was just a solid guess.

Hi Reese

Are you using the 9200 with an extender?

Are other devices working via the remote or via the extender (if you have one).?

Yes, I'm using it with a RFX9200 extender. I've narrowed the problem down to the extender. The codes direct from the remote work fine, but if I try to direct the codes through the extender... nothing.

Do you think it's an emitter compatibility or is there an identified issue using the RFX9200 with Pioneer Elite?

ok pull of the infra red bud and hold it about 100mm from the unit to see if it works, also check with a digital camera to see if IR is being emmitted from the bud.. if not check your file to make sure the device is transmitting to the extender
