tengizk,

As I indicated in a previous post, I prefer the TSU9400 over the TSU9300 because of the screen.

You could create your RS232 toggle if you copy the device and install a macro on each of the mute buttons. The mute button's macro would mute/unmute, then jump to the mirror device that would unmute/mute. Granted, this could get messy to program and maintain, but if the mute button is the only issue and you don't change things too often, this is a viable strategy.

buzz,

I see - essentially one would need to duplicate the activity in order to be able to assign opposite actions to the same hard button. And if I wanted to add another kind of toggle action for the functionality that only has discretes and assign it to another hard button, I would need to duplicate the two existing activities again. So, say, for 3 toggle action hard buttons I would need to duplicate the whole thing 8 times. For the toggle action touch buttons however, the same trick appears much easier to implement.

This most certainly works, but, as you've said, I see how it could become a nightmare to maintain.

To tell you the truth though, I am already going a different route - I am writing an application for my own private usage that would act as a virtual RFX9600 with triggers, so I could add any logic I want when processing the commands from the remote and trigger arbitrarily complex set of actions. It's in no way is a replacement for the proper PS on the remote, but clearly is better than nothing.

Thanks for sharing the neat trick!

Doesn't pressing the Volume Up or Down unmute it?

Sure, but I must be missing something - I don't see how this could help since it's equivanent to the discrete unmute which already exists. Could you please explain?
