Had my 9400 for a few days so a bit of a newb.
After downloading into the 9400 it seems to take an age to reconnect to the network, a few minutes at least.
I have the ip address set to a fixed address and no security (for testing) switched on. Other devices such as laptops connect in a couple of seconds. Once connected it seems to work fine its just how long it takes to get there, is it normal? I think something must be wrong, any suggestions?
Thanks
John

No that is not normal. It should connect after a fresh reload in the order of seconds<10. What are you trying to connect to an extender? Or are you just turning on the 9400 with no extenders configured?

What is your router/access point? If it is a combo N unit try setting it to G only. Also make sure latest firmware on the pronto unit. Demetris

And if B/G, then set to G-Only as well.

Thanks for the reply chaps, its quite a complicated network across my house with the recent addition of a Linksys WAG160N router supplying the wireless to the house although I also had an older Netgear "G" AP from when I used to need two acess points to cover the house.
I tried connecting the pronto to the Netgear and it connects straight away so undoubtdly it's the "N" issue. I guess I'll use the netgear for the pronto only with WEP and leave the linksis set to N and WPA for the laptops. The G doesn't go far enough to be a massive security issue.

Nowhere did you mention your firmware revision. If it is not the 6.0.28 you might try that as it has some changes for handing the N Routers/WAPS. However, beware of the "blue square". Search for more info.
